One of the most recognizable family food names in Kansas City! And this isn't just for the sausage products you find in the grocery store, nooo, it's a full-on deli/mini-grocery with an online ordering system to boot!Found just short of the Armour area of NKC, Scimeca's offers up lunch options, deli products to go, and a great array of their frozen specialties. If you've had their pork products from a regular grocery, then just know that their chicken spiedini, stuffed shells, and more are absolute winners in the kitchen. I suggest bringing a reusable shopping bag and filling it up so you can stock your freezer at home. Pro tip: get a loaf of their Italian bread to go with - fresh and fantastic! You can order on the app and pick up locally, but do know they close up shop in the later afternoon (like 4:00 but check to be sure). Pricing is well below the *value*, because this is authentic, family-made Italian goodness that you can pass off as your own semi-homemade cooking (like me). The sausage that Scimeca's is known for is phenomenal in so many ways - grilled, sautéed, or ground - so just know that the flavor you love from that product line comes through in everything else. Their friendly staff will make a sammich to order, chock-full of yumminess, and pair it with a pickle & chips for a home run lunch. Stop in the shop or use that app, but either way, make it a point to see the small space that yields big flavor.

We decided to stop in here after hitting up City Market. There were plenty of options, I went with the Italian classic, and got a side of the pasta salad ($3 upcharg). The sandwich does come with a bag of chips. Both the sandwich and pasta were absolutely delicious ! There was plenty of seating inside. You can also buy their pasta sauce and Italian dressing (soooo good!!). The prices were pretty reasonable and the service was phenomenal. We will definitely come back.

I miss the old Scimecas but this one is very convenient for Northlanders. Many deli and Italian bakery items.. always good. Love the Italian Christmas cookies! There are tables in case you may want to sit and eat.

A smaller delicatessen by big city standards. Very clean, with a nice selection of imported and in-house made goods. Only about a dozen dining tables inside and a couple outside in full sun. I came specifically for their Thursday special sandwich which is Chicago Style Italian Beef. Unfortunately, it did not measure up to the better spots in the Chicago area. To be fair, pictures I've seen and the different types of sandwiches of others dining around me looked much better. In other words, worth a visit but skip the Italian beef.

Excited to find an Italian deli up north. Working in the area, with the broadway bridge being under construction, has left finding a good lunch a little tricky. I had a class Italian sandwich and it was great! A little confusing ordering and paying at two different counters but now that I've been once, I'll know for next time. Love that they offer herbs and spices, their meat products, sauces, and Cento canned goods! With "online" being in the name I was worried it was order out only but there are tables set up inside which is nice. I'll definitely be back!

Scimeca's has carried on a great tradition of delicious food along with authentic Italian treats and a grocery of imported foods as well. The deli has a dining area with tables to enjoy lunch or dinner. We had the meatball and chicken parmigiana sandwiches which were big and delicious. I had the pasta salad for a side which always very creamy and tasty. If you're looking for Scimeca's Italian sausage, they also have it right here too for take home and grilling on your own. There is free parking on the street or in their parking lot. This is self service deli. I'll be back!

We stopped at Scimeca's Market to get some ravioli, meatballs and Italian sausage. It's a little market and deli. I love the fact that I can stop here and get exactly what I want, because many grocery stores don't carry all their products. It's a cute little store. While we were there, we got a Italian steak sandwich. My husband and I spit it. It was delicious. As we were leaving, my husband informed me there'd be no splitting next time. I see an Italian steak sandwich in our near future. LolFood: 5/5Facility: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5 (remember, it's a market too)Value: 5/5

This is a great place to grab a deli sandwich. It's always fresh and tasty and I've yet to have any sandwich that disappointed. The last time I got an Italian your way with Turkey, pepperoni, and cheese. There was a ton of meat and it was super good. I've been craving another one and it's probably going to be my go to. I've also had the 1935 Italian classic and chicken pesto melt, both were outstanding. I don't think you can make a bad choice. I have not tried the specialty sides but I want and will. The salads look amazing too! They also have an entire little market where you can buy anything Italian to go and cook at home. We're talking pasta, sausages, cheese, literally all the things. Definitely worth checking out!

This place has the ability to really shine if they would just follow through with thier oders correctly. Every time we order there something is just not quite right. Foir an example I ordered a Ruben- good bread, tender meat, good flavor, no dressing except a smudge in the middle and none on the side. So, I have a very dry Ruben. There are a lot of choices in North Town, they just need to step up thier game.

Came here for a deli sandwich to pack for a picnic on a nice day and absolutely LOVED. All of the ingredients are super fresh and flavorful. A lot of options and sandwich is large! This is my new favorite spot to get a sandwich in Kansas City. Really can't go wrong with anything on the menu but if I were to order again I would get the hoagie bread over the sourdough.
