Purchased numerous items at the orchard. The peaches were past prime so had throw most away. The service was excellent and the grocery was very clean and organized

We went to pick apples this year, and enjoyed our visit. There was also a fun playground area for the kids. One downfall that I've noticed is that they don't mark the rows with apple variety. That would be very helpful. But we had fun!

This place was great! I'm not sure how it's possible to have a bad experience here. They've got everything from a playground, huge apple orchards, pumpkins, corn maze, sunflowers, apple cannons, a farm store and I think even a Christmas tree farm. My favorite experience was definitely walking around the orchard picking apples! And if your not a fan of walking through orchards, you can always buy anything at that farm store they have

My employer had given out vouchers for Schweitzer's to use to be able to get a certain amount of products in their store. The date had been extended on the voucher but it wasn't written on it & I couldn't remember the date. Was in the area so thought I'd stop & see if I could use it. Stopped at the desk & asked. Was told no, it expired yesterday. No biggie. Decided to browse in the store & probably get something anyway. An employee came out of the back & saw me. Asked if I needed help. I ended up telling her I was a little disappointed I couldn't use the voucher. I was not angry, not pushy. Just matter-of-fact. She proceeded to tell me in a rude tone that I'd have to "take that up with them" (my employer) & that she felt they were being "generous" as she was walking away from me. I ended up getting apples there & they have a good product but could use some improving on their customer relation skills.

Schweizer Orchards is a large family orchard in St. Joe, Missouri. It's very easy to find being not too far off the highway. They have tons of fruit and veggies for u-pick when the season arrives. We went apple picking in late September. Not too many apples were left but you can't beat the experience, family photo ops, and price. You just can't get apples for 60 cents a pound at the grocery store. They have a fun little store where you can buy already picked apple varieties, Amish made jams, preserves, and pickled things, and several other items. The lone bathroom was small but clean and has a place to change a diaper. There is a large playground for smaller kids (the sign says "under 70 pounds") which ruled out my older two so we skipped that. Our go-to apple orchard/pumpkin patch (Alldredge Orchard) had a hail damaged crop this year which forced us into new territory at Schweizer. We're glad we tried it out, but we're still in love with Alldredge. Schweizer is our back up for sure and we know we'll have a great experience no matter what the weather!

Unresponsive and poor customer service. I called multiple times to discuss purchasing wholesale pumpkins for my wedding. I gave them my contact information and was continually told that they would return my calls once they weren't "so busy." Never received a response.

I was disappointed that most of the produce in the $25-dollar produce box started to go bad within two days. The yellow squash changed color showing that it was going off. The tomatoes started to mold. The peaches and green peppers started to wrinkle and get mushy. The onion started to shrivel. It was my first time buying the box and I won't be doing it again.

WE LOVE THIS PLACE! In my opinion, it's the best orchard in the Kansas City area. We drive up every year from Johnson County because they have a good variety of you-pick apples, fun stuff for the kids, and great prices. As a mom, it's always disappointing to go to a you-pick place, only to find it's like three dollars per pound of apples and so you have to pick five apples and then leave. Here, we can let the kids go crazy and pick as much as they want. Sometimes we end up buying 40 pounds of apples, but then it just means lots of good applesauce and apple pies for the rest of the month. If you go at the right time, they have a pumpkin patch running at the same location as the apple picking. Two birds with one stone. They also have fun fall things like hayrides and that sort of deal.

I went Saturday and picked jonagold apples. They were very sweet and juicy. I had to walk into the orchard but the place was packed with people. No problem, I know that traffic through a orchard can destroy trees. I came out with a very large bag of apples and the employees helped me with it. Extremely helpful! Excellent apples!
