Decent food, and usually great service. Pricing is average, with some good daily specials available. Taco Tuesday and Thursday are among the best deals they offer, as well as the steak and all you can eat popcorn shrimp.

First off, I would like to say the service was the best part of the experience. I got the San Jose burger... I am baffled that a steak house would have such a trash burger. The meat was a frozen patty that had no flavor whatsoever, the lettuce was super watery and made my bun soggy and the jalapeños just tasted like water. a hamburger from McDonald's could run circles around this burger. As far as the vibe, I guess if you like feeling like you are in a rundown outdated diner than you would love it. Will I return.... NO Not to mention, that burger was $13... don't waist your money

A bd group of maybe 15. A separate room all to ourselves. One seasoned waitress, and a helper that knew what he was doing. Most of us ordered Mexican dishes, me carnitas, all so good.

Got a to go order of a mixture of soft, hard and fried tacos I had soft chicken for the first time ever and I don't know if I want to eat beef/meat tacos ever again. They were so good. With pico and salsa. I recommend this place. I usually only get the cheese enchiladas but it was a to go so I wanted to try something different. So glad I did.

First time eating here just left the rib crib because food was so bad, now I'm here eating a chili relleno that is floating in a pool of oil. The taco shells I sent back for this were stale soooo it is not meant for me to eat today.On the brighter side of this review, my husbands kc strip a 12pz tender perfectly grilled fillet was delicious!! I will be eating steak next time!

I used to stop here for lunch quite a bit, today's the last time. Chicken tacos had zero seasonings, just plain chicken and bones. 3 tacos, 3 bones, no extra charge for that at least. The salsa was so salty 2 packs of sugar couldn't even make it palatable. Service wss equally horrible. I'm done, won't waste another cent here.

San Jose came highly recommended. I have heard the steak is great. I will be trying that next time. I was really craving a sizzling plate of goodness with all the fixings. San Jose delivered. Expect punctual service aimed to please. We came during COVID so all the employees were wearing masks but they were all very friendly. An older gentlemen who I assume is the owner came by to make sure we were satisfied. He offered more tortillas, whatever we needed. That is so nice. This is the way businesses should be run. As for the food, everything was great. The chips were warm and tasted fresh. The salsa was appealing visually and had a nice balanced flavor. We asked for a hotter salsa, which they also had. This one was also great. Our food was sizzling hot. It was enough for at least two servings for me. All the meats on the combination platter were tender and flavorful. I really appreciated the service and atmosphere here. Way to go San Jose! See you again.

This is what they consider "fried ice cream" I asked if it was suppose to be solid and the "manager said that is how it's made because it's fried" I told her thank you and to have a nice day. She then tells me not to ask for anything again in this restaurant. I was nice and polite so why would she be rude!? I have been to many Mexican restaurants and this is the first for me.

Food is not good, everything is frozen. Do not waste your money here, fast food is better.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. I guess I'll start by saying we have eaten here four times. The first time was just average and we thought we would give it a second shot. We were so disappointed that we agreed we would never return. However, our camping club hosts booked us there for our Christmas party in 2019. We ordered their tacos thinking it would be a safe bet. I don't remember what we paid for them, but would bet they didn't have twenty five cents worth of ingredients in them. Again, our hosts for our camping club selected San Jose as our only option (during COVID-19) for a Christmas venue. After much deliberation we agreed we would rather go and be with our group, than not.To begin, my husband ordered a pork entree and I ordered their steak tips. When asked, I requested they be cooked medium rare. Once served, my husband's pork was crispy burnt. My steak tips were so overcooked that I could not chew them enough to swallow. My full plate sat on the table in front of me for the next thirty minutes. Not once did an employee ask me how my dinner was, or offer me a take-out box (which I would have declined). Nor did they remove my plate for the next thirty minutes. As we were attempting to have our white elephant exchange and needed our table space, I felt our only option was to bus our end of the table and set the dirty dishes of five people on an empty table just outside of our banquet room. I then proceeded to my vehicle to retrieve my 35-lb box of pumpkin rolls to gift all in attendance. There were two employees visiting within six feet of the front door as I struggled to open it in the freezing cold weather. I finally succeeded on the third try and had to excuse myself to get past them with my large box.Finally, we made our way to the cashier to pay for our uneaten meals. The cashier didn't greet us in any fashion or ask us how our dinner was. With her back to us, she told us the total of our ticket and partially turned to us as she reached for our card. Those were the last words spoken from her lips. No thank you, have a good night, NOTHING.With all this being said and done, I felt it would have been pointless to speak to a manager about the horrible experiences here. We won't EVER return!
