A fun place to visit in Lawrence. The walls were fun to look at and see the different artwork. Food was great as well and they offer lunch specials

I just had a horrible experience at this restaurant, it being my first time there. I sat with my family and initially it was fine. We all 5 drink all our drinks and eat all our chips and dip without seeing our waiter to order our food or get more chips/water.I walk around the restaurant and see nobody. I go in the back where I hear a noise that sounds like ping bong balls... and find our waiter and several other employees are playing beer pong in the kitchen (with water not beer I presume) instead of tending to the restaurant. I politely ask for more chips and water and to order. I leave and immediately hear laughter and ping bong balls again...At the end of the service my father does not leave a tip for our waiter because he was upset with what the waiter was doing and the neglectful service.HERE IS THE REAL BAD PART: When leaving the waiter chases my 67 year old dad down in the parking lot and begins yelling at him because he did not leave a tip for the beer pong waiter... the audacity... he then tells my dad to go fuck himself and scurries back inside. I went with my dad back inside to find a manager, who ended up being a college aged woman like our waiter who began defending this waiters actions... No sense in arguing with these crazy people so we left.I highly recommend against this place!

Never, ever order from these guys through a takeout service. People packing the orders to be picked up DO NOT check their receipts against the order, and leave things out, CONSTANTLY. It happens every time I order. There is no resolution, because the delivery service always says it's the restaurant (which in my case, it has been), and the restaurant doesn't take responsibility, either. They won't refund the missing parts of the order. Food isn't bad, but never, EVER waste your money ordering in. They've gotten over in about $75 from me in the last six months.

I love visiting when I am in Lawrence. Take out, delivery or in house the food is consistent and delicious. I love the enchiladas!

There is no shortage of Mexican restaurants in Lawrence, but this one is especially innovative. The last time we were there, we got blackened fish tacos, blackened shrimp tacos, and Beyond Tacos, along with guacamole and glasses of wine. All were good, but we were surprised by how much we liked the Beyond Tacos. I assume it contained plant based Beyond Meat. We were somewhat annoyed by the fact that the happy hour discounts that apply to beer are not available for wine. Next time I will get beer, if there during happy hour.

Some years ago, I lived in South America for a bit. I had a small place with a hand-dug well for water. Every morning I would draw water for the day's use. One day, I drew up water and in the pale there was the very decayed carcass of a cat that had fallen into well at some point.I would drink that well water 100x's over before I eat at this place again...

The food was absolutely horrible. Seriously - McDonald's would have been a better choice ... Burger King ... hell, even Chucky Cheese would have been better. Think of the worst food - O bet it was better! I ordered the Carnitas after seeing they were an Iguana Classic. They must be good - right? WRONG! The pork was rock hard, dry and tasted worse than meat that has been in the fridge, unsealed, for a longtime and then reheated in a microwave. And it wasn't just the carnitas. The rice was that was too as were the enchiladas of the other person with me. The only thing that wasn't was was the chips, salsa and queso and the cheese quesadilla that my child ordered.When the server came and asked if we wanted a box I said definitely not. I was not rude. He asked how everything was and I just said it really was pretty terrible. His response was simple Oh. Sorry to hear that. Did not offer to make it right it anyway. I didn't go there hoping to get anything for free but I've worked in customer service long enough to know that you never want a customer to leave with that feeling! Service recovery is a whole marketing strategy and that was textbook horrendous. I can't believe that place is in business with food that horrible and service that mediocre.

Wish I read the other reviews before coming here. The food is very bland. Almost no taste. Watery salsa. Slow and inattentive service. You have to ask for drink refills, more chips, etc. All that with an empty restaurant. I am glad I tried it though because I wanted to for a long time and I did enjoy the iguana world on the walls so one star for that. Unfortunately I probably won't return.

We had a cockroach crawl onto our table mid dinner. They didn't comp us at all. Idk man, I'm not one to complain but it just grossed me out, made me worried about the what the kitchen might look like.
