Had them out in early July to look at three stumps that needed removal. Took about 6 weeks for them to come do the job. We called and called (always went to voicemail first) to see when they were coming, we kept getting reassurance but they never came through on their claims. Yesterday, they finally showed up, unannounced, never told us they were coming or knocked on the door to let us know they arrived. We only knew they were there because our dog was barking and we saw the truck. Apparently they showed up, drove the stump grinder to the gate, was a tight fit so they just left. The same gate their owner walked through when we got the quotes. He didn't seem to think it was a problem but his guys couldn't be bothered to find a solution. They didn't even say anything to us, just left. Didn't even bother with the stump in the front yard, just left. Left within 15 minutes of arrival and again NEVER even bothered to let us know they arrived or what was going on. It's a BS business with BS employees, running a BS operation with a BS effort.

Ty and his crew were great, taking a tree down in Brookside! Ty came and gave us a very informative estimate and bid yesterday! We got five bids and Ty came right in the middle. His crew showed up today and did a great job. There were several obstacles including, a playhouse, swing set and fire pit. Ty's crew navigated all of the obstacles and left the yard in great shape. If a tree goes down in Brookside call Ty. For the service they provide, the cost is quite a deal!

Safety Tree has been nothing but professional since day one. We had a 70 year old maple fall onto our home in the Waldo area during a storm. I called 3 different emergency tree services at 2 am. Safety Tree called back at 6 am and the company owner was to our home by 8 am. He carefully inspected our very severe damage and spent some time calming our nerves. He then called his crews off of other jobs and had an army to our home by 11 am. They were all dressed professionally in matching shirts, and EVERYONE had fantastic attitudes! They removed this 20,000 lb tree from our house and did it without causing anymore damage. They even protected our front yard from their heavy equipment with sheets of plywood. Safety Tree left our yard and home in great condition (considering the situation) and now, one month later, the stump and the grindings are gone, leaving behind a very clean, albeit barren yard. The owner Ty Simmons and his crew are top-notch, professional, kind, and heroes that came to our rescue. We can't thank them enough.p.s. The other 2 tree services called back on Monday. Awesome.

These guys did great work for a good price. I had a very large, dead, tree on my property line in midtown. They took the whole thing out for $800. They also trimmed up a neighboring tree free of charge. Very professional and insured. Highly recommend.

This company was contracted on behalf of the city of Kansas City, Missouri to remove a dying mature oak tree on the easement of my property in December of 2017. Asplundh Tree Company removed two similar oak trees in the same area in 2008 with awesome results and no damage whatsoever. The Safety Tree Service crew in December 2017 was clearly in a hurry and not very conscious or caring about how they were going about taking the tree down. I was home and watched the whole process from my living room window. Rather than tie off and lower the branches, as Asplundh Tree Company did with two trees in the same area in 2008, these guys let most of the large branches just come crashing down to the lawn, curbs, and street. I was really bothered by that, as were my neighbors, but I ignored it as best I could. The most deflating, disappointing part is when they were getting ready to fell the tree. The tech sawed off a probably three or four-foot section of the top of the trunk after all the branches were removed, and then proceeded to push it off of the top of the trunk, right onto my two year old curbs and the two year old newly paved street below. I wanted to throw up when I saw this. I wish I could have stopped him before he did this because it was clear to me this would not turn out well. This enormous chunk of the trunk of the tree had to weigh several hundred to a thousand pounds or more. Needless to say, the damage to my new curbs was significant. It severely cracked and pushed part of my curb into the ground about an inch or two and cracked the two curb sections adjacent to the one severely damaged. This negligent act damaged the street too, but they damaged the street even more by the way they chose to let the trunk fall when they toppled it a few minutes later. To add insult to injury, another worker came over with a large picker to gather the branches and trunk material and scarred and gouged the living hell out of the newly paved road. The road was already cracked badly from the way they let the tree fall and this made it worse. I got in touch in late December 2017 with the Director of Operations for Safety Tree Service, Andy (he didn't give me his last name). He came out to look at the damage. Sadly, he tried to say the damage to the curb and street was the guy with the picker machine resting his stabilizing posts on the curb and the curb having an "air pocket" underneath it, which is why it cracked. Bull. I saw it cracked and damaged with my own eyes when the guy cutting the tree pushed the massive top trunk section onto it. I expected Safety Tree Service to take at least some responsibility for this massive damage caused and maybe replace my curb, at a minimum. The Director of Operations, said he would contact me after the holidays in January 2018, but he never contacted me again. I still makes me sick every day when I walk by this area and am reminded of the careless, unprofessional work that was done.

Safety Tree Service will get my business from now on. Their estimate seemed high at first but they were the most affordable estimate we received. Our heavily treed yard limits the access for trucks so they did some serious tree climbing. They were responsive to our wishes and careful of protecting our house, fountain, patio, and other trees. We loved watching them work and felt like they had more than earned their money.

I am an owner myself of a competing tree company .There is alot of tree companies popping up everywhere in this city. From the few who give us sometimes a bad rep, who do low grade work and demand top pay, or altogether bad work. It makes it harder for legitimate caring tree services to stand out and be recognized as honest and upright. I've met Ty and have seen some of the positive influences his company attributes to being a good tree service. They are without a doubt, a good, trustworthy tree service. I don't believe I could give them even one star except Landon was courteous when I received the bid. Many promises of "getting to me" and no shows. Lots of time wasted where I could have had the work done. Plus, office lady, Debbie was condescending and argumentative. I suggest you not waste your time.

Made an appointment with these folks four days ahead to get a tree removal estimate. . No show, no call, and no return call when i left a message after being stood up. Lots of good tree places around. Don't waste your time, because they don't seem to care about wasting yours.
