S & S Stables

Highly recommend!!!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The trail was an easy ride and had beautiful scenery. They made sure we had a horse that accommodated each of our heights and sizes. We loved the experience

A day of horseback riding with S&S felt like a mini adventure. I took my two kids 8 & 11 out for an hour ride. It was better than any Amazon or Caribbean horseback trek. The couple that runs the stables are very nice and super fun to hang out with. They made sure my kids and had an amazing time. Even on a hot day the ride took us under the peaceful and shaded trails around the lake. The kids and I were in control of the horses the whole time. No lead ropes on this excursion. Super fun and highly recommended for a child outing or a special date.

This place is such an amazing place to go whether it be for; date night, family night, friendly outing, Girl Scouts, Birthday Gift, etc. Kayla and Farley are TOP NOTCH. They make sure you're comfortable before taking you out and they even take photos of you during the ride and then send them to you so you have memories! They take extremely good care of the horses, and you can tell those horses are like family for them. They trails are AMAZING! In the summer, make sure you have bug spray on, and sunscreen on. You'll enjoy keeping the bugs off since you do a ride through the woods, fields, creeks, etc! Definitely give this place a whirl cause you won't regret it!

We went there for some horseback riding and camping. It was very good. Sue and Steve are gracious hosts and the ranch is very well equipped. The campsites are very comfortable and very well equipped. Complete with bbqs, firepits, electricity hookups and a water pump. There are also very cozy heated bathrooms with showers. The ranch is very close to Hillsdale Lake. We didn't do any fishing but when we asked the fisherman who were out there and they said they were biting.The trails that we got to ride on were also spectacular. Sue took us out for a two hour ride to the lake, through streams, up and down hills and through chutes where we got to experience the way it feels to trot on a Missouri Fox Trotter. Very smooth, and friendly horses :)Beautiful setting, sweet animals everywhere, and genuine people for company.Highly recommended.

Kayla and Farley were so welcoming and easy going. I took my twin 10 year old stepdaughters today and had such a great time! When I called ahead to make an appointment they asked for our height and weight so that they could have the right horse ready to go when we got there. It was apparent that the horses were really well cared for and they knew them like family. It has been about twenty years since I last rode a horse and I felt very comfortable in their capable hands. The trail was very tranquil and views of the lake made it very picturesque. It was well worth the drive in from the city. Thanks Kayla and Farley!

A very Nice Place to go camping. Friendly people, friendly environment . Excellent Trails. Beautiful Views. Camping is clean and organized. I love this place. Highly recommend to everyone.

Just completed a ride at S&S Stables, what an awesome experience! Loved Farley and his wife! The customer service was fantastic, and they were always concerned about the safety, and experience of their customers.The horses very well trained, the paths were very pretty. We have been to different places across the metro to ride, and this was at the very top of overall experiences. They made sure to provide you a satchel for your belongings, and cold water before you started the ride. They also took pics for you while you were riding and texted them to you.We highly recommend S&S Stables! You will have a fantastic day, great time for all ages!
