We had fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. Some of the best fried chicken I've had in KC. The meat was tender and juicy and the crust had just the right crunch and seasoning. We stopped in for lunch on Christmas Eve and were seated immediately. Great service and good food. The manager visited all the tables to check on everyone's meal and was friendly and personable. The ambiance was perfect for a Plaza restaurant, upscale but not fancy. Casual attire.

We didn't have a reservation but were seated on the patio rather quickly. James our waiter for the evening was very energetic and eager to serve us. He quickly took our drink orders and shortly after our entree selections for the evening.We all ordered and the food was brought out plated beautifully. Everything was fresh and tasty, which is what I love most about farm to table dining. The prices were affordable and the ambiance is great for girls night out or a date night with your person. I'd definitely recommend this to others.

It's an ideal place for friends to gather, whether they want to kick off their day or reminisce about the night before.Chicken Sandwhich - I tried the spicy chicken sandwich. It was generously sized and quite tasty. However, my biggest critique is that it didn't hold together well because of its large size. I attempted to cut it in half, but the breading kept falling off, making it a messy meal. I wouldn't recommend this if you're on a date or aiming to maintain a professional appearance.Cinnamon Roll - I tried the cinnamon roll as an appetizer with four adults and one child. It was tasty, with lots of sugar and glaze, but I would definitely recommend it. Just make sure to run a few extra miles to work off the calories!Pro tip: Despite the busy area, there is a decent amount of parking available. You may need to circle the surrounding two or three blocks a few times, but with an extra five or 10 minutes, you'll find a parking spot.Pro tip: If you plan to visit during the classic brunch times on weekends or holidays, it's essential to make a reservation. I visited on a Saturday at 12, and the place was extremely crowded.

There are a lot of options on this menu. The fried chicken was excellent and center stage. I had the duck which was had to many components to fully enjoy - mustard, greens and spatzle. Too much in my opinion but the chicken we ordered for the table saved the day. The cocktails were perfect. Their pies are worth trying!

Came here for a business dinner. The service here is top notch, and the waiters pour a ton of attention into your party. One of the people in our party's order came out wrong (she ordered a filet mignon and she got a pork chop instead), and they took it back to the kitchen and gave her a $40 gift certificate for the mistake. Crazy!! They definitely know how to take care of their customers and want to make sure everything is as perfect as possible.The actual food was pretty good, but not astounding. Ordered the Dry Aged KC Strip steak medium rare with a side of bacon mac and cheese. And a bunch of appetizers. I think the only downside was the steak was too fatty for me, but I feel like that's something I should have expected when ordering steak. Loved the crab hushpuppies. Also loved the bacon mac and cheese. I don't know what the green stuff on top of the mac and cheese is, but it was bursting with flavor. I think they used a ton of butter or oil or something because it made me feel pretty heavy.I also don't drink alcohol, so I asked the waitress for a surprise fruity mocktail. I think they got me something with ginger ale. It was delicious, yum! i'd skip the mocktail that's on their regular menu though. I don't quite remember what it was, but it was too bitter for me personally. Definitely a good date night place. But it's a bit out of budget for me. If it wasn't someone else's treat, I don't think I'd frequent this place myself.

We love coming here for the holidays during brunch. During Easter we had the best brunch with mimosas. Highly recommend making a reservation during the holiday season. Their cinnamon rolls are amazing, but make sure you get there early because they will sell out. Parking is available nearby, but not the easiest. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. They have a great bar program and all our food was super flavorful.
