Hmmm . . . what to say about a bowling alley. That it was clean? Yep, it was. That the lanes and scoring machines all worked? Yep. They did. That the bar was amazing? Eh . .. not so much- you'd be better off going into Wayne and Larry's next door if you want a drink that's not a beer.But the best thing going for it? There are lots of friendly people who work here. And there is plenty of free parking.So if you are in the mood to get a little aggression out on the alleys- check this place out. Turns out I actually held my own and averaged 150 for the three games. Not bad for a gal who hasn't bowled in over 20 years!

This place is very different from any bowling alley I've ever been to. The lanes are waxed to no end. The way I bowl, I throw it towards the gutter and spin it towards the middle. Little did I know that these lanes would force me to relearn my bowling style. It was infuriating. I say 2 stars because the bathroom design is actually pretty nice.

If you want to bowl in Lawrence, it's either here or Jayhawk Lanes. Royal Crest is fine--the lanes are not in great condition, though. If you are a purist, you might be disappointed with the different variations in the lane conditions that force unpredictability into the game (and not in a good way).Monday and Wednesday night after 9pm, you can bowl for 99 cents a game.

I have spent many, many hours of my life here. Good bowling, reasonable prices, lots of fun. The food they sell is good, and the arcade machines and other novelties make for an overall great experience. If you're looking for some afternoon fun, come have a good time!

i mean it's a bowling alley so you kind of already know the demographic, but it's tight. $6 keystone pitchers

This woman at the alley bar was incredibly rude to me and my friends. A woman who is the manager was very unprofessional and would not let us purchase alcohol even though we were 21. She came up to us during our game, which we paid all together 80$ for, and told us she would kick us out if we continued to drink from our friends beer pitcher. Regardless of the circumstances, she was incredibly rude and created a hostile environment. They also tried to charge me $1 for a cup of water. Would not give us a refund for our games, only vouchers.

The brunette manager got hostile towards me for absolutely zero reason. There was some dispute over who had valid IDs and whose were expired and while I was trying to bowl, the pins weren't coming down, so I watched what was going on at the table. The manager looked at me and yelled, "What! What!" Even after the dispute with the IDs, multiple employees continued to stare us down as we attempted to enjoy the $80s worth of games we purchased. Regardless of the circumstances, the two female staff members we encountered did not know how to behave with professionalism and general human decency. A female employee with dark hair even came up to us and told us "I just got told to f-ing kick you out because you won't f-ing stop drinking." and just walked away after we explained that nobody was drinking besides the man who had a non-expired ID and had purchased the pitcher. Extremely unprofessional and frightening, I left feeling anxious and uncomfortable.

Took the afternoon off work to spend with my family. I presented the attached coupon for "buy one, get one free". There were four of us paying so I figured with the coupon we be able to get 3 for the price of 4. This was about $3.50 savings. However the older lady working the counter said this was only good when it was for the same person???? I looked at the coupon & her, asked again & she said that's how they work there. I reminded her I was paying for 4 & the coupon was not specific about it only being for one person. Since I had kids, I didn't say much more (again, it was just $3.50). I paid the fee for one game & shoes. This place is corrupt & not honoring the coupons they issue. Of course the service stayed at that level. With little kids we asked for bumpers. While waiting I had time to grab a beverage for myself & run to other end to grab one kid a $2 coke! $30 later I walked out.

This is my favorite bowling alley in town this is where I spend most of my time I enjoy coming here
