The restaurant was very clean and nicely arranged. Our server was very nice and checked on us several times. We had breakfast and it was very good. I had the Monday special of 1/2 a sausage cheese omelet with hashbrowns and toast for only $9.49. The omelet was a little different. It had plenty of sausage but the cheese was 1/2 a slice of American cheese on top and apparently the other half inside. It really wasn't enough cheese inside the omelet. It was still good though. My husband had a combo platter for $11.99. The pancakes were much bigger than he expected, lol! But he still cleaned his plate. He said it was all very good!

Visited the cafe with a group of 16, we did give them a heads up that we were coming so they were able to seat us close together. Service was great and the food was excellent!

Very Casual local diner for truckers and community residents. The food was generous and good. Attire: carthhart, John Deere hats. The parking lot was full of trucks. We didn't quite fit in but enjoyed a nice turkey club sandwich and chocolate cream pie. They add on a credit card fee. For this type of restaurant they did well. Nuthin fancy.

Local favorite! This is a "seat yourself" diner that takes you back to the basics. The waitresses are down to earth and quick, and the food is delicious and filling! They do still offer smoking inside, so please don't go if that is an issue for you. Like I said, this is an old school local favorite! I love this place so much I wish they were open later!

We've been here a couple of times now. What makes it a must stop is that EVERYTHING is made fresh. Sometimes your mashed potatoes will be lumpy....other times real lumpy. We're talking homemade food. DEEEEEEELISIOUS. THE FOLKS HERE ARE SUPER NICE TOO. We had the tenderloin special it was served real hot also. They also have a salad bar with a bunch of fresh veggies.

Was there this past Sunday for breakfast and it was truly one of the worst dining experiences ever. My wife was so unhappy about it that she posted a review immediately after leaving, which she never reviews anything... good or bad. Shortly after posting it she was informed in the comments section by the local hairdresser, who also happens to be the local contagious disease expert... I mean at least that's what one can assume by her comments... I for one didn't know that the Covid pandemic was over and that the current Missouri Covid guidelines aren't necessary any more... someone should really tell all the restaurants in Columbia, Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City, I mean literally everywhere, that they can get rid of the masks and ignore the 50% occupancy... cause according to this contagious disease expert, I mean hairdresser, Covid is over! I'll be sure to pass that on to my two friends that have lost loved ones over the past couple weeks due to Covid pneumonia and organ failure... they'll be so relieved to hear it's over! The local contagious disease expert, I mean local hairdresser, also demanded that my wife apologizes for leaving an honest review of our dining experience... So, on her behalf, here's our apology....I'm sorry that you're the ONLY restaurant that we've visited in the past year that completely and selfishly ignored Covid guidelines and suggestions. I'm sorry that we didn't leave immediately after seeing 150+ mouth breathers rubbing elbow to elbow over their fried chicken in the trough in the corner of the room. I'm sorry we didn't leave instead of waiting 45 minutes for our fried eggs, bacon, and French toast. I'm sorry that we sat there and watched at least half a dozen tables that arrived after us receive their food before us... I guess fried fish and country fried steaks are faster to prepare than fried eggs and bacon... I'm sorry that after having waited 45 minutes for our food, we had to send it it back because they served it all to the table behind us. I'm sorry that we didn't accept the food after the complete strangers behind us breathed all over it... you know, pandemic and all. I'm sorry that my son never got his dipping sauces for his chicken fingers. I'm sorry that we never got checked on. I'm sorry we never got refills. I'm sorry that my wife I had to sit there for another 20 minutes without her food, fried eggs and bacon, and just watch the rest of us eat. I'm sorry that my wife was so over our dining experience that she had to finally ask for hers to go. I'm sorry that she just ended up trashing her food cause it was the exact same plate she sent back. They just reboxed it. The food was room temperature when she got to the van and it had onions baked into the French toast... I'm sorry that within 30 minutes of leaving that 3 out of 4 of us that had actually eaten came down sick with stomach issues... I'm sorry that everything tasted like a dirty grease trap! It's okay to throw out your old oil once in awhile. I'm sorry that the most flavor I experienced there was the 2nd hand smoke. I'm sorry that upon leaving your diner that I actually had to take my wife through a fast food drive thru to get something to eat. I'm sorry that we ate here when we could have found way better by just staying in Columbia or literally driving 15 minutes in either direction... I'm also sorry to all the snowflake loyal townies that got butthurt by someone that didn't enjoy their dining experience and left an honest review that wasn't so positive of their local eatery... and felt a need to demand an apology for it. That's sometimes how reviews work unfortunately... This place has horrid service and mediocre food! So there... there's my apologies. On a positive note though, that put on amazing entertainment during your dining experience! I guess they offer a parade of mullets while you're there... I mean, they're not Dog The Bounty Hunter levels of epic, but they'd give Joe Exotic a run for his money! And the decor of old license plates offer a level of creativity and feng shui that you usually don't see these days!

Service was good. Good was good but the atmosphere was toxic. They allow smoking inside. They had smokers in a walled off room but two open walkways with nothing to stop the smoke. It was so thick I could see a smoke cloud In the air. If you are a non smoker find any place else.
