Rockhurst is an amazing university with many amazing qualities and individuals working there. The campus is beautiful and homey, it's very difficult to get lost and easy to find your classes. The professors are extremely passionate about their fields and very flexible to your own personal needs. There are many ways to get involved and an increasingly accepting environment for marginalized groups. This is the kind of place where people hold doors for others and everyone is very excited to be here and to get an education. Additionally, you do not have to be a Catholic to come here and there are a lot of individuals who are not. I would highly recommend attending this college and have had an amazing experience here!

Ah, my alma mater, and a treasure in Kansas City. Just like the school I got my Masters from, SLU, Rockhurst is quite definitely "in the hood." And, just like SLU, Rockhurst had the opportunity years ago to take part in the flight from the inner city and build a sprawling campus out in the burbs. Rockhurst, like SLU, did not give up on the city it was part of.You're going to find at Rockhurst a Jesuit education, which apart from a distinguishing element of service, focuses on building a whole person. We take philosophy and theology courses as part of the core not because we are trying to indoctrinate someone in religion, but to point out that life is more than marketing or biology.Rockhurst is the second-smallest Jesuit school in the country and certainly one of the more affordable. One of the drawbacks we have is that we do not have a good study-abroad program, but I came in as a junior transfer so I had already had that benefit at another school.I'm deeply grateful for my time spent at the Rock.

Great program with wonderful professors. High focus on education and research, I've really enjoyed my Rockhurst experience so far. It's a very small school compared to my public university undergrad experience but its a wonderful campus. Expensive compared to other schools but you benefit from what you pay for!

I highly recommend applying to Rockhurst University if you're looking for a school that is dedicated to learning, leadership and service in the Jesuit tradition! With a great selection of academics and extra curriculars, you're sure to find the perfect fit for you.

Amazing. Professors care about the students and what I have learned in the classroom as been beneficial to the real work world.

A good solid education...but beware...this isn't the Catholicism you grew up with. No it's quite liberal. Of course drinking isn't openly encourage but any kind of lifestyle that meets diversity is encouraged even if it conflicts with the Church--ie. your orientation? Often breaks with Church tradition and leaves the student (me) often confused....guess it's those Jesuits.Education is good/excellent, but overpriced and overrated. Grad school is the value.Staff and faculty can be supportive or just the opposite--it's hit or miss.Education department is NOT real world. Lots of rules and busywork--stuff that you are supposed to do in college classes but not in your own classroom. Some profs love their powertrips.Met lots of decent fun students, but if I had it to do over, I'd go elsewhere.BTW my GPA was over a 3.8 out of a 4.0, but still I wasn't happy.Give your money to Church...not Rockhurst.

An amazing school with Jesuits who truly want to help you learn, and to think for yourselves. It probably helps that I met my wife here, but I loved everything about the school. I got my BA in Philosophy/Theology, but actually teach computer science now (who'd have known?). I really can't say all the great things there are, just take a look for yourself and ask around. And yes, it is in the hood :)

If you really want to learn this is a great school! As the classes are small you really get to know the professors and your classmates and the subject matter of your classes. College is more than the classes and you get more here. This is not to say you will get a great education because you will if you put in the work. I love that you are taught to think critically and ask questions.
