There was a line out the door to order the entire time we were there. Seating outside in several areas and in the caboose.Food selection is simple but drink offerings are abundant.The were sold out of sausage to bacon it was. It is good but honestly not overly flavorful but the give you salsa which was a good add!

Lovely place with a one-of-a-kind boxcar that has been added on to the side of the building and plenty of outdoor seating. However, they've got to find a way to move more quickly through the huge lines that develop on Saturday morning. Something akin to what fast food places do with drive thru by sending up people through the line to take orders in advance. This is particularly effective for espresso drinks. I also saw someone standing 10 deep just to buy a bag of coffee. That's not right.But good donuts and good coffee (and coffee drinks...try the black rose tonic and thank me later) so it might be worth the wait...just barely. :-)

This coffee shop is perfectly located and the staff friendly. The coffee was nice but i needed to ask if it could be hot as i felt it had been sitting a while. My breakfast burrito was tasty, a bit pricy and not the correct one i ordered but i still enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend that the owners change these lil details of making sure the drinks are hot and order is correct and it would help with business. Overall, these are the 2 factors that influenced my decision to return.

Count me in for a one-of-a-kind experience savoring unique craft beers within the charming ambiance of vintage train cars! I absolutely adore the concept, as it beautifully combines the allure of history with the relaxation of a casual drink. Moreover, the option to enjoy a cup of coffee adds even more appeal to this already wonderful spot. While the interior decor may lean towards simplicity, it hardly matters when you're immersed in the enjoyment of a fantastic beer.In addition, the location is perfectly situated near English Landing Park, providing easy access to a wide array of captivating attractions for sightseeing, leisurely strolls, or engaging in recreational activities.

Enjoy Coffee or a beer in a train car! Friendly baristas, delicious burritos and pastries. My fav coffee shop in the area. Highly recommend trying the sausage burrito with an almond milk latte. Dine in or outside.

Pretty unique places to sit here! You can sit inside of an old train car. The prices of the lattes are pretty fair! But the donut holes are a tad pricey (they do slay though!) I do really enjoy the flavor of the espresso as well. The staff is always so friendly and seems to be able to keep up with the crowd.

We came here after another coffee shop in Kansas City was way to crowded to sit and work on our laptops. We had seen this coffee shop earlier this year and had plans to stop by and try their brew and such. I anticipated coming here instead during the week, and not the weekend, which may be best for anyone who just wants a little mellow environment to sit and work. Rochester not only roasts their own coffee but also brews their own beer. I am not interested in tasting their beer, so I won't be providing any input on that. There are plenty of people in this neck of America to provide that review. Their coffee is pretty good, and it reminds me a lot of the Messenger coffee brew. I had a chocolate covered donut, which tasted pretty standard. When I first stopped by here earlier this year and looked at the layout of the place it was impressive, mostly because of its quaint, passenger train car area. I liked the idea but to me it may be one of those things that looks idealistic and dreamy, yet when you actually experience the area it's doesn't seem as special. It may be because it was a Sunday, and there were loud people with beer, small families with children that run and can't behave, and dogs (yes, they allow them here, apparently). So, when I first saw this place in May, the ambiance was very quiet. Maybe there might be a lull during the week, I'm guessing.

One of the most consistently excellent food and drink establishments in North Kansas City. The staff is fun and genuinely look forward to seeing their customers.

Baristas were kind, my sandwich and drink were ready quickly, and the left side of the restaurant is still quiet enough to read, study, or otherwise. Great vibes, comfy spot!

First time back since Rochester has replaced the previous coffee shop and they've really made some upgrades! The coolest change being the front caboose, which provides two little nooks from above where you can enjoy your coffee. The atmosphere in the train car is relatively loud (good white noise), especially when the train goes by. Their winter latte menu has multiple options, and I settled on the White Winter Latte. It wasn't as hot as I would've liked and then at the bottom of my cup there was some sort of prickly/fuzzy substance. Truly have no idea what it was and I'm not sure what ingredient it would've came from, but I'm just ignoring that lol. Aside from my coffee, it's a 5 star coffeehouse.
