I'm only giving this 2 stars because my daughter had a decent time for her first time roller skating. The rink is in fair condition. Right when you walk in it's a storage area for overflow tables and random boxes. Along the baseboards of the rink itself, there were a few nails sticking out and could cause a serious injury. Watch your little ones that cling on to the sides.Their bottled water is $3 each. It's a small business, I get it, but $3 is robbery, especially given they don't offer "small" drink sizes because they claim to be on low supply, yet I saw employees drinking out of small cups. You could easily charge $2 and still reap in a significant margin in profit, so I look at this is just wrong. The crazy eye makeup referee employee tried to charge me $5 for a skating helper for my daughter. Keep in mind 3 other patrons who were there asked why didn't I get my daughter one and I told them bedside their $5 and each of them gave me a look of confusion as not one of them were charged for their kids. It's sad because my daughter wanted to attend the skate classes there, but after the attempted charge or $5 for a helper, I see that this place is just trying to gouge their patrons. Sad.

Simply appalled that my four children under the age of ten came in to skate and the first thing they heard was a song about a "dick in her mouth" and "don't give a fuck about no bitch". The next song was equally appalling... the one following had something about her pussy and Gucci flip flops. We've been coming here for years and it seems to be going downhill with every new trashy manager they hire. We won't be coming back, period. I wouldn't even let my teens be exposed to this nonsense. In addition to the wavy floors and filth everywhere, our young kids aren't being protected. I spoke to the manager and she made an excuse that it's an open skate night.. just wow

You will need a shower after you leave this place. This place looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the 80s (the carpet looks like it's never seen a vacuum; tons of cobwebs and dust all over the walls, ceiling and speakers; paint chipping and fading everywhere, etc.) I paid $3 extra to get roller blades, but every single pair they had in my size (3 different pairs) had broken clasps/buckles and wouldn't stay tightened. I was told I would have to make one of the broken pairs work because they didn't have any that weren't broken. Not only were they broken, but they all smelled PUTRID. I later found out why they smelled so horribly. I witnessed the female employee behind the counter placing all the worn skates back without spraying them. Had I not had a child with me that was so excited to skate, I would have asked for a refund and left. I reluctantly returned to this rink a couple of weeks later for a child's birthday party. The place was just as nasty as before and the music they were playing was highly inappropriate for a 10 year old's birthday party. Lots of gangster rap and songs about drinking and sex (including "I Wanna Sex You Up"). The male employee (who was in charge of the music) was dancing around the rink, singing and showing off. And again, the female employee put all the skates away without spraying them. If you ever decide to come here and have to rent skates, make sure you bring disinfectant spray.

I visited while on a trip from out of town on a Tuesday night. What I found was a nice, clean rink that was not crowded. The floor was in good condition. If you are bringing your own skates, you will want to have some wheels with grip. My "Radar Halo 95s" slipped outwards in in turns, resulting in a few power slides. You will want something with a little more grip.... all that said, the ambiance was great. It was hard to tell if they were vintage or retro, but it had a fantastic late 70s/early 80s vibe, and the music was on point.

When I was a kid I was pretty good at ice skating, but sadly, I was *dreadful* at rollerskating. As in, I'd put on a pair of skates, stand up and attempt to get movin' only to fall flat on my a$$. Get up. Repeat. And I kept trying, to no avail. Fail. But... I once found a wallet in the parking lot of the roller rink that I used to frequent (what? you think a silly thing like constant falling would stop me from hanging out at one of the coolest spot in town for a fifth grader? The ice rink sure as hell didn't have Donna Summer or Blondie pumping through the sound system). The wallet score was a good omen (it had EIGHT dollars in it!) and I was determined to keep on skating. Only I kept on sucking.I have this horrific memory of a gang of older teens holding hands as they expertly maneuvered the rink and I got in their way. That wasn't pretty. Let's stop talking about it.River Roll reminds me a heck of a lot of the United Skates of America in Massapequa, Long Island, where I cut my teeth... that is, cut my wheels and broke my teeth (that's an exaggeration, but sounds kind of cool). It even has this cool astro-themed carpet, disco balls, cool lighting, a snack bar with Icees and of course the killer sound system. And it's home to Dead Girl Derby! I went to my first DGD bout last night and it was awesome. I couldn't help but relive the dangerous moments of my youth when I'd try to make it around the rink once, only to be knocked down by stronger, more coordinated badass kids. I'd never in a million years consider doing derby myself, but this is a great place to watch it and feel like you're right there, participating in the action. Looking at the general skate rates, it's really reasonable and seems like a great time out for all ages. And then there's the whole renting out the rink deal so that you can relive those exact moments of childhood ennui, gluttony for punishment and well... leave it to me to turn a review into a psychotherapy session...

Music isn't loud enough. I've had two separate private parties here. And they had one young man running around handling everything; SKATES, DJ, cleaning up, & customer service. All while one lady sat at the front NOT HELPING.... Was definitely annoyed with that. But we made the best of it & enjoyed each others company. As long as they have 3-4 workers this is a great spot.

I went here when I was a child and things have changed in a great way! I have befriended the workers because they are respectful of their place of employment. I believe that some of the sessions are made for specific age groups. That brings more joy for the people that do not enjoy others music taste.

If you are a POC especially a black person I would think twice about patronizing this establishment. They give mediocre service and then like to weaponize the police to their benefit. I visited this establishment for a birthday party on Saturday and you could feel that we were unwanted from the jump. Being skipped over for them to help white people that were there after us was ignored but when We were rudely interrupted from singing happy birthday to my niece and told we had to leave the party room now because there was another party coming although they were the reason for the party running behind; due to them not bringing the food or ice cream on time. My sister instructed the staff that we would leave once we finished singing happy birthday and cleaning up like any normal person would after they've paid for a specific service. Of course they immediately responded with calling the police and I'm not the least bit surprised with the way this country sees & treats black people. One of my cousins even tried to take to who presented herself like the owner & all she kept saying was that she would call the police. We hear these stories all the time of white people weaponizing the police and it ends badly thank God we got an officer with a small chip on his shoulder or my nieces birthday could have went very differently. Oh & FYI after all that The next party still was in the room on time smh
