This place is perfect. If you are anywhere near this hidden gem, make it a stop. The beer is authentic to each style presented. Beer making is about balance. It's a matter of blending malt, hops, and yeast. Sweet and bitter. Too often "craft" brewers present what they like, which tend to be overly hoppy (bitter). When you order a specific style beer, you end up with an overly hopped rendition. It's like ordering a hamburger and getting a cheeseburger; acceptable but not what you ordered. This brewery has beer that tastes like the style advertised. It's a welcome find in this beautiful County seat town. Pizza is excellent. Services is also friendly, but not overly bothersome (thank you!).

Carrollton is a cute & quant town with a lot of charm. A popular spot to check out is the River Bottoms Brewing Company in the downtown area! The Turds & Curds (meat & cheese) appetizer was a hit at out our table! We had a large pizza with half Canadian Bacon & Mushroom and the other half was Rueben Style...yes you read that correctly! The Rueben Style pizza was DELICIOUS....Sauerkraut and all! The also have a very popular PB&J pizza that I've only heard GREAT things about. Check out this brewery if you are in Carrollton or driving through!

Our first visit last year was great, however, our latest visit this December was beyond disappointing! We went to celebrate December birthdays and spent over $500 - after finishing our meal, we were told they would not give us extra plates for the cake we brought because "they didn't want us getting blue icing all over everything". In addition, after our group left, a couple stayed behind to have an additional drink and watch the football game and were told "we can't serve you anymore - the owner says you've had too much". It was 3 pm in the afternoon & none of our group had over indulged! Pretty sure they were just mad about the cake!! In addition, we had to clear away our own appetizer plates to make additional room on the table for our pizza. On a positive note - the food was good and we did have a nice server - it was the owner, who was only present for about 10 minutes, that was the problem. We drove over an hour to meet are friends there specifically- we will never return and will encourage others not to visit this establishment. It's a cool little place. It's too bad the owner ruins the experience.

Finding beer and pizza that is off the charts good is a rare find. My 3rd time and the quality is consistently great. It is my go to place for lunch when in Carrollton. If I were closer, I would drink more than one Oatmeal Nut Stout!

On a little Saturday mid-Missouri day trip, we stopped in Carrolton for lunch and ended up at River Bottoms Brewing Company. What a perfect little spot! The space is on the courthouse square with dining area, a bar, brewing vats and a small performance space inside the high ceilings and brick walls. The décor is unique and well curated with original art, posters, photos, maps, taxidermy, electric guitars... very eclectic but tastefully arranged to provide a space that is visually stimulating. Just as stimulating is the menu - beer and food. My buddy and I each ordered a flight. For $8 I had 4 5oz. glasses, the Red Ale, Blonde Ale, Honey Wheat and my new favorite - The Triple Belgian style Ale. The ABV is high and it gives a buzz for only 5 oz's but it's made with honey so it goes down so smooth. I can see why they will only serve customers 3 of them. A beautiful product! The pizza selections are just as varied with multiple ways to order - personal, gluten free, nachos, in a pepper... and toppings that range from tradition to highly experimental. I ordered the personal 4 slice Pub pizza with Ricotta and peanut butter base, jalapeño jelly with bacon and mozzarella. My new favorite beer and new favorite pizza and it's 65 miles from my house - why??? Our server was wonderful also - knowledgeable and friendly. I may have to book a room in Carrollton in the near future, just to spend a Saturday night with pizza, Ale and music.

Good music. Good service. Lots of brew choices. Pizza crust so tender. Love this place.

This place is so good!!! We drove over an hour to eat here, and it was well worth it. We got a pub size Rueben and it was delicious, if you like the sandwich, you'll love the pizza! We also got 1/2 supreme and 1/2 meat lovers, both were excellent and well cooked! We got the traditional crust/size! Lastly we got 1/2 courthouse and 1/2 special which was a honey garlic chicken. The chicken was way different than anything we'd ever had before and it was retry good. Not sure I'd order that again, but was happy to get to try it. The sauce was a Smokey honey, not hot or spicy but had some Smokey heat to it. The white sauce is really good!!!! We highly recommend trying this place out, the best pizza we've had in a long time!!! Worth the drive and we will do it again.

Downtown Carrolton on the square. Great brew pub with excellent in house brewed beers. Great service and food. Now the pizza toppings are not your run of the mill toppings. One of them is a peach bacon and honey pizza, I am here to tell you DO NOT turn your nose up at that one it is excellent! There is a peanut butter pizza as well, like the old commercial said, "try it you will like it!"

Easy to get to from the area roads. Center of town. Great beer selection. Had the cheese squares. Yum!!! Also had the American Badass IPA. Refreshing. Other IPA available as well
