Restaurante El Pulgarcito

The food is fantastic at Restaurante El Pulgarcito! Very fresh and handmade with care. The chicken soup (Sopa de Pollo) is the best, and while I haven't had chicken soup anywhere else in KC, based on what I had I can confidently say that this is the best chicken soup in KC. This is no canned soup slop, no way, all homemade. Big pieces of chicken, or in my partners bowl a whole leg on bone, in a authentic bone broth makes it sooooo flavorful that you can tell that love was the most important ingredient. The restaurant has character with Latin music playing on TV's giving it a good vibe. The people are super nice and makes it feel like your eating at a family's home. I will definitely be back to try some more delicious food!¡La comida es fantástica en el Restaurante El Pulgarcito! Muy fresca y hecha a mano con cuidado. La sopa de pollo es la mejor, y aunque no he probado sopa de pollo en ningún otro lugar de KC, en base a lo que probé puedo decir con confianza que esta es la mejor sopa de pollo de KC. Esta no es una sopa enlatada, de ninguna manera, es toda casera. Grandes trozos de pollo, o en el plato de mi compañero una pierna entera con hueso, en un auténtico caldo de huesos lo hacen tan sabroso que se nota que el amor fue el ingrediente más importante. El restaurante tiene personalidad, con música latina en los televisores que le da un buen ambiente. La gente es muy agradable y te hace sentir como si estuvieras comiendo en la casa de una familia. ¡Definitivamente regresaré para probar más comida deliciosa!

Pretty cool place to get my pupusas cravings! Pretty much your "normal" menu but they have six of the drinks like horchatta and pineaple etc. would definitely come back for their carne asada tacos and carnitas!

We had a great lunch at Restaurante El Pulgarcito. When we walked in the person seating us was friendly and smiling. She made great recommendations that my group followed. The papusas were awesome. Tacos were tasty. The crema chicken was wonderful. The platanos com frijoles! The horchata was excellent to drink. Es buenísima

This place was excellent and impressed my family and I with the food. The tacos are excellent and have a lot of meat. They have a homemade spicy sauce that's really good. My family loved their chicken soup and they were able to split the soup with their children.The staff were very friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. They were quick to serve us and take our order.The establishment is very clean and has great vibes.

The pupusas here are fantastic. The service is absolutely wonderful and the music sets the perfect mood to tuck into some great food.

I like the large variety of pupsas that was offered. We tried the shrimp, chiazaron, revueta, where the chiazaron was the best. Enjoyed the steak tacos and would go back to try the barbacoa. The customer service was fabulous!!!! Along with the atmosphere.

I had heard good things about this place, but didn't stop in until I was cycling past one day and decided to stop in for lunch. From the moment I walked I felt very welcomed. Everyone there was not just polite, but seemed genuinely excited I was there. Excellent service, excellent prices, and incredible food. The pupusas were incredibly delicious. And huge! What a deal! Great atmosphere, great stop. Definitely going back.

I have been here couple of times and it never disappoints! I order the pupusas beans/cheese and there's also other options in the menu but if you rather have chicken or steak inside the pupusas are also a good choice! The empanadas are my favorite, which are Plantian that is fried and you have 2 options for the filling are refried beans or condensed milk. But my fav is the beans. And if you're looking for a breakfast meal this place is the way to go!! Great price and wonderful employees.
