We went here for Inside Out 2, and not only was the movie great, it was a nice change of pace from the typical sticky-floor, suburban feeling movie theaters. It also happened to be our three year olds first movie in a theater! The major underrated benefit to this theater, IMO, is not only is it great for kids' movies, but it's not incredibly loud. You know those theaters that want to flex their audio and you can feel it in your chest during an action scene? Not the case here. Perfect audio balancing, which helps my sensitive kiddo (and me, let's be real). I was surprised that even after buying four tickets, popcorn, and snacks that they wouldn't validate parking. It's gotten much stricter around Union Station as the Streetcar has taken off, which I totally understand. However, I think being a paying customer should have a small reward. Just a little feedback.I love almost everything about Union Station, right down to the bathrooms, so enjoying this theater is no surprise. Go check it out!

I saw Barbie here a few weeks ago. I lived in Kansas for 20 years and have never been here, I went to the theatre on one of my many trips back. The tickets are more reasonable than a regular movie theatre- $7/ticket at night, $5 earlier in the day. It is first come first serve with seating. The screen is gigantic- almost a smidge too big. It's hard to see everything in one look, you have to move your head around to see both ends of the screen. Still a great experience! It's neat to get to go into the Union Station and explore all the beauty there vs just a free standing moving theatre. You can find free parking along nearby streets (depending on the hour). And you're a short walk away from the WW1 museum; even if its closed, you can walk up and enjoy a beauty view of downtown KC. Definitely recommend this movie theatre!

$5 for a movie? What year is this? This is a clean theater. Plus... it's like the biggest screen in KC. And... they play new releases . Also... they validate parking. In addition... the concessions are reasonably priced. FYI the $5 is for the 12:30 show, but still it's a good deal. It's worth the drive and parking hassle to check this theater out at least once.

A train station with an Imax movie theater. Screen is HUGE and I don't think I've yet to see a movie fill the entirety of it yet. It's one of the larger theaters I've been in seating 440 and they do a good job of keeping it clean. Occasionally they do have special showings that utilize the imax screen or unique documentaries and independent films.Concession stand is on the small side serving popcorn, candy and fountain drinks. If your a union station member the popcorn is free. The perfect date restaurant Pierponts is across the huge hall or just some well made decently priced martinis at uniquely awe inspiring bar. The two have put on special engagements together dinner and movie that were deliciously entertaining.Parking could be free if you park behind union station and use the bridge or front at a post office spot when it's closed. Other wise their is the garage or honor box. You will be ticketed if you don't pay the ' honor' box, so bring cash for this.

This place is just okay. I went and saw "OZ" here in 3D. While the sound is great and the seating is comfortable. I was quite dissapointed that the movie didn't span the whole screen. It was just the same size it seemed as a normal theater and to pay $13 something to see this movie was not worth it for me. I wouldn't come here to see another movie at that price. I just like the Union Station/Crown center experience and the walking around thru the sky bridges.Save your money and go to a normal theater.

Went and watched National Parks 3D today. It was outstanding. Spend the $6 and take your wife, your girlfriend, husband, sister, brother, mom, dad, nanny or the guy sitting next to you on the barstool.

This theater has a massive screen that's pretty good for an immersive 3-D experience. We recently saw the National Geo Jerusalem documentary here and it didn't disappoint. The theater was nearly empty when we went. The seats and carpet were in almost-new condition and the theater was spotless. The sound system was ok, but bass was a bit buzzy.

Getting to watch a movie in a theater inside our historic Union Station is such a fun experience. We always come early so we can walk around and see the sights inside. They serve Coke at the concession stand which is my favorite! Staff is super friendly and on my last visit I was chatting with the manager and she informed me that they'll be getting new seating next year!!! Woop Woop! Clean theaters, which is huge, because I've been in some where I was afraid to put my purse on the floor... Not only do they show some great Hollywood movies but you get special showings (like Elf!) and some really interesting documentaries. Please, when you visit Union Station, don't forget about this little gem that's just a short ride down the escalators.

I have been here several times for regular or 3D movies. Extreme is an understatement. 5 story screen for $5.00 it'll make ya feel insignificant.
