Redemptorist Social Services Center

We have been working closely w/ this charity throughout the year and every time I volunteer at the Center, I come away from the experience more impressed than the time before. The volunteers, running the center, are passionate about what they do while being frustrated at not being able to do more within our community. Redemptorist offers help w/ food and clothing, providing an impressive selection of clothes, shoes and house wares, which they make available to all in need. They are one of the only food banks in the city offering fresh fruits and vegetables, in addition to the standard canned variety. They also offer assistance w/ utility bills, rent and medical expenses to those who meet the requirements. One of the most amazing aspects of this community organization is they don't simply offer a hand out but rather work to offer a hand up. I look forward to continuing my work w/ Diana Kennedy and the dedicated staff at Redemptorist for years to come.
