When the Red Wattle and The Little Piggy spot opened on the Blvd. I was so excited. I love food trucks and was happy to have a spot that's close for lunch. I've been to Red Wattle twice now and the first experience somewhat disappointed me so I wanted to try them again before posting a review. On my first trip I ordered The Whole Hog. The man at the window wasn't all that friendly and seemed inpatient as I stood reading the menu for the first time. I ordered my sandwich to go and took it a few blocks back to my office. This was a wise decision as the sandwich was so messy, dripping with so much grease that it had soaked through the paper box and left a spot on my car seat. Overall, the sandwich was just okay. I thought the pork was very bland and dry. The star by far was the toppings; crunchy onions, aioli and pickled veggies (which are not listed as being on the sandwich). Today I tried the cheesesteak. Again, the sandwich was just okay. I've had better. The steak was tender and juicy but had way too much pepper for my taste. The star again was the toppings. The cheese sauce was delicious and the grilled peppers and onions were perfect. So overall, I don't think the quality or quantity of the food warrants the pricy cost for these sandwiches.

I had the KC Cheesesteak sandwich. Liked it but didn't love it. Flavorful slices prime rib with a gouda cheese sauce topped with peppers and onions. The meat was fantastic but the gouda sauce left more to be desired and the onions and peppers were ok. Kind of would like a little kick to this so maybe add some jalapenos? Again it was tasty just not as good as other cheesesteak sandwiches I have had in town. Service was fast and the Little Piggy lot had plenty of seating on this beautiful Friday noon hour. I will be back to try some of the other sandwiches because they all sound so good.

Wowza! Decided on the #1, called the whole porkin' thing. The sandwich is $8.50 and consists of roasted pork on a farm to market ciabatta bun. It also has chimichurri, fried shallots, and topped with buttermilk aoili. The roasted pork was really good. A few bites of the pork were overcooked but mostly it was very tender, juicy, and tasty. The ciabatta bun is really good and meshes perfect with the fried shallots and aoili. Another slight drawback is the aoili. It's really tasty but a little greasy and messy. Don't get it on your clothes or you will have a guaranteed stain. Really good, tasty, filling sandwich though!

In a hypothetical ongoing feud I have - where I only get one chance to show someone how much better creative chefs who have control over recipes and pick out their own fresh ingredients can be verses frozen pre-prepared food most chain restaurants serve - I would take that food Nemesis to Red Wattle to prove chains suck. The food could convert a boring food lover. Flavor is through the roof and very well prepared.

people seem to love food trucks so I thought I'd give the lot a shot. Only one truck open on a weekday at noon. Got the brisket sandwich. Pretty good. Quality ingredients. Far from elite barbq but then again it's a good truck. Main problem was the prices. $10 and change for a med sized sandwich?! Couldnt afford the fries, they were like $3 more. Didn't try the rest of the food so it may be great but if you want an awesome beef sandwich plus a side for the same price go next door to Danny Edwards

Wow! If you want some great food in Kansas City try this! Went there with a friend and we split a couple of sandwiches. I don't think it matters what you order here, it is going to be awesome. Meat... good, bread... good, sauce... good. Umbrella flying off the table.... well it was windy in KC! Go have fun!

I've been here twice with customers and had every sandwich. All of them are ridiculou... slightly messy, and delicious. Seriously... just pick one and relax. The toppings they use put them over the top. Roll up your sleaves. You have been warned!

Prices are misadvertised on the board. We made a purchase and were overcharged by a dollar for each item - $7.50 for a $6.50 item and $9.50 for an $8.50 item. Tax on top was $1.42. When we asked about the price, the worker claimed that the dollar extra in base price was "tax". When we pointed out that the tax charge was tax, and that it didn't make sense for the base prices to also be more expensive for "tax", the employee became irate. He told us he was "tired of wasting his time" and slammed the window on us before giving a refund. A simple question turned into a very unpleasant experience. I thought I could smell liquor on the employee's breath, which might have explained his irrational and rude behavior.

So Good - there's just no way around it. The "Whole Pig'n'Things" is next level. And you gotta go for the cheese sauce on your chips or fries. Unforgettable!

Ate here for the first time today and we will definitely be going back. My husband had the #1, which was super flavorful. I had the special, which was chicken thighs, sauteed mushrooms, cheese, and caramelized onions on sourdough. It was nothing short of fantastic! We attempted to split the cheese fries between us and our two kids, but our four-year-old hogged them all and made sure to let us know that we have to go back again for more.
