This review is for lunch for two at the bar on a Saturday in early February.service: Bar staff was super professional and engaging. Food runners, hostess, and waitstaff were all uniformly great. bar: Great classic craft cocktail offerings. I drank Freestate Yakimaniac on tap ($5 as of 02/25). Handful of good offerings on tap. food: My wife had Spicy Beef Curry ($18.50 as of 02/25) and it was very good. I had BBQ Chicken Nachos ($18.50 as of 02/25) and it was both unique and tasty.details: When we walked in after 1pm, there was a twenty-minute wait for a table for two. Reservations suggested! Restaurant is really quite large. There's even an outside patio. Plenty of street parking nearby. Bright industrial space with great vibe.

I remember this place going gangbusters the first time I had it (2019 or so can't remember). So how was it this time? No. Just no.I want to reiterate what my fellow cost-conscious patrons said: the price does not match the quality. The bowls are $3 off during their happy hour but when you factor in a tip it goes right back to being $18. I got the chicken pad Thai ramen which in retrospect is probably not their best offering, but still. The flavor was fast food level quality and the toppings were slim. For my money, skip Ramid Bowls.

If you ever had a good ramen experience, please do not eat here. This place is not authentic and it is clear from the food preparation that they don't care about the craft of Japanese cuisine. This is the full account of my $30 lunch which was a side of eggrolls and the goddess ramen bowl. I came into this establishment during lunch. It was halfway full. This place is literally decorated like an otaku's wet dream. It is what people believe Japan is without knowing what Japan is. I went to the bar for fast service. The maitre'd gave me the "menu." The menu was literally a magazine that was hard to decipher what items they actually sold. I flipped through this menu/magazine trying to figure out what to order and ultimately just decided to ask the waiter for his recommendation. I asked the waiter do they have crab rangoon or cheese wantons? The waiter responded "No, we have crab rangoon nachos though." I think to myself, "Oh no, what did I get myself into," but foolishly, I decided to give this place a chance. I asked if they had eggrolls and what type of vegetarian ramen would they recommend. The waiter stated that they had vegetarian eggrolls and recommended the goddess ramen bowl. I followed the waiter's recommendation. I waited ten minutes and was presented with my $8.00 eggrolls. I looked at the waiter. The waiter looked at me. I looked back at him and asked, "are these my $8.00 eggrolls?" He responded yes. Presented in front of me was two eggrolls that were as long as my pinky. I took a bite and sadly, the taste was mediocre. On top of that, the eggrolls were fried in oil that was too hot, as the outside was a dark brown, yet the wrapper was only halfway cooked. I could only imagine that they justify the high price because the eggrolls were "hand rolled" (very poorly may I add). However, there are other Asian restaurants that serve hand rolled eggrolls for half the price and double the quantity (look up Spices in Kansas City). Not only that, these egg rolls lacked flavor, because the filling was so small compared with the thickness of the wrapper. However, nothing prepared me for the Goddess Bowl. The waiter kept on telling me that my food was going to be out any time now. I waited over thirty minutes. When I was given the Goddess Bowl, I was shocked and disappointed. The Goddess bowl consisted of very thinly cut ramen, with a bland vegetarian broth topped with raw spinach, raw avocado, and fried to hell tofu. I added an egg for $3.50 (Yes, I winced when I did so), which was overcooked. This dish is an abomination to Japanese cuisine. The spinach was literally straight from the bag. No seasoning, no nothing. It was the same for the avocado. It is kind of like, are you even trying? If you know anything about Japanese cuisine, they would never serve raw spinach on anything. Spinach is usually cooked, drained, wrung of water, seasoned with sesame seed oil, salt/soy sauce and white pepper, but I digress. The tofu was a sin for people who actually like tofu. It was fried to the point that it had rubbery texture and was unable to soak up any of the broth. It is clear that the people who prepared this tofu fried up the tofu well in advanced, possibly days in advance. The ramen noodles were also too thin and the vegetable broth was bland. If I wanted to eat angel haired pasta, I would have gone to an Italian restaurant. Additionally, I would bet that the vegetarian broth is made from powder and not actually made in the restaurant, but I would feel like I would be cheating if I did. Anyways, the total for an order of eggrolls and a vegetarian ramen bowl was $30.00. Even more expensive than going to 715 or Merchants. Please, do not go here. Support restaurants that actually care about the cuisine they are making, like Lucky Seb's. This is your warning.

Service is excellent - very quick & accurate! We went during the last hour of lunch so it was not crowded but roomy so even if busy, we are still comfy. The ramen is excellent here, even in this 3rd location. Loved the chicken wontons & gyoza! We had 4 people, everyone loved their choice! We had chicken pad Thai, Tan Tan Men ( perfect spicy level), post rock beef, Hokkaido MisoAs I load pics, they look similar to those I took a couple of years ago. So that is consistency!Always the best ramen, possibly anywhere, as our kids from NY prefer it! Boba was okay but too much boba & pretty gummy so it was hard to drink with the smoothie straw we were given. The actual milk teas were tasty, just skip the boba

Not sure about food but bar was despicably bad. most uncomfortable seats this side of Mississippi. Bar was out of most basics and no Bulliet. A very tiny tiny pour of Jim Beam ( measured by Bartender like it was liquid gold) and very flat diet Pepsi was $10. This is a college town!!!! Bartender looked like a reject from Southpark, The clear vibe here is no one gives a crap! Most of staff busy on cell phones.

What a nice spot. Came here for some ramen and it didn't disappoint. Love the atmosphere and the service was nice. I was happy to see Spam Musubi on the menu. We also enjoyed the dumplings. I liked the Wonton Ramen bowl which had yummy chicken. My friend had the Kimchi Ramen bowl. It's served in the traditional style which we liked very much. You have many side options to choose from of things to add to your ramen. Overall, nice experience.

Have been here twice so far and have yet to eat something that wasn't spectacular. The service our first visit was iffy because there seemed to be a miscommunication with who our server was but it got sorted out and we were taken care of. The second time we had great service and the food was out of this world good. We had the crab Rangoon nachos and I tell anybody I can about them!!

We had a lovely meal here this week. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer was out of this world!! Our server and bartender, Maddie, recommended this appetizer and she was right. She was also very helpful with drink selections and helped me get my noodle bowl exactly how I wanted. We learned quite a bit about Sake, now we have to go back and try some of the cold choices. Overall Maddie was a 20 out of 10, lol. The food was delicious, I had Pad Thai with shrimp and my husband had the chicken cutlet monthly special from the magazine. I love the decor with its Hawaiian flair. We will be back there is so much more to enjoy.

Finally was able to check this spot out after several high recommendations and was not disappointed. I got the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful and the noodles had great texture. Everything was very fresh (be prepared to wait a bit for your orders, but it's worth it). Will definitely be back soon!
