Ragazza Food & Wine in Kansas City is a bit of a hidden gem. The first thing you'll notice is the lack of parking, which can be a bit of a challenge. After circling the block a few times, I finally snagged a spot and headed inside. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a trendy, upscale vibe that still manages to feel casual and cozy.I was seated quickly despite the dinner rush, and my server was friendly and attentive. I opted for the Carbonara, and it was absolutely delicious! The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was rich and flavorful, with fresh mushrooms and peas. To top it off, I indulged in the Budino for dessert. This rich, dark chocolate pudding with a hint of sea salt was simply divine!Despite the parking woes, Ragazza Food & Wine is a fantastic dining experience. The food is excellent, the service is great, and the atmosphere is perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion.

Was there for happy hour as a light supper. The meatballs were lovely but would have liked a second piece of bread. The steak spedini was delicious. It was a busy location. Suggest a reservation as the space is small and it's a popular place!

3.5/5 starsLoved the ambiance. Great for special occasions or date night.Cocktails and appetizer was great. Enjoyed the burrata and Roman spritz.Caccio E Pepe was on the peppery side for me, and service was okay for a busy Saturday. I also ordered gluten-free pasta, so take that with a grain of salt. Will definitely be back to try more entrees!

Ragazza Food & Wine offers a delightful culinary experience that exceeds expectations. For starters, the Burrata was a perfect choice. The creamy burrata paired wonderfully with oil-roasted tomatoes, and basil pesto, got me excited for the main dish. I've also ordered Chicken Picatta with lightly breaded chicken breast and creamy polenta in a buttery lemon-caper sauce. The chicken breast was incredibly tender, but the creamy polenta was the highlight of the night. It was my first time trying polenta, and its buttery, citrusy flavor bursting with each bite. The staff were exceptional. They provided outstanding recommendations when ordering, ensuring each dish exceeded expectations. They struck the perfect balance of attentiveness, checking in periodically without disrupting our dining experience. The vibe that Ragazza provided was great for a romantic date night. However, I've found the overall lighting inside was too dim. While it provided an intimate atmosphere during the sunset, it became challenging to take photos after dark, particularly in corner seats.Overall, the quality of the food and service they provided was exceptional and will surely revisit!

How have I never been here? This place is fun, has a great story and the food was outstanding. Scott our waiter was maybe the best waiter I've ever had. Fun, lively, likable and shared stories about the place and their food that make you want to keep coming back.We had the mushrooms as an appetizer which they get from a farm in Leavenworth. Two had cheese and sausage and one stuffed with cheese surrounded by sauce. The Sunday sauce with all the meats was incredible. Definitely want to try Sunday Brunch.

Ragazza is fantastic! Great date night spot that I would consider romantic. While we waited for our table, we sat and the bar and enjoyed some good cocktails and I like their tap selection (nice to see something from Vine Street on tap! Don't see that often). Also had some very good wine with dinner. The arancini is decent. Love the fry/crunch on it, but I wish it was creamier on the inside. The sausage and artichoke soup had great flavor! The corn chowder was alright, a bit more like corn soup by texture, in my opinion. I very much enjoyed the carbonara! Overall I was impressed with the food and menu options and would love to return to try more. I LOVED the decor and atmosphere. Also very much appreciate our server who was very friendly and helpful.

Omgoodness! My husband Bill and I were heading back home after a long day at KUMed. We were getting peckish and decided to drive around and find a new place to eat since neither one of us felt like fixing anything at home. So, we happened upon a place called Ragazza Wine and Cocktails. Its a neighborhood homestyle Italian restaurant and wine bar at 43rd & Main. The entire dinner experience was amazing from our server, Elizabeth, to the check! We enjoyed what felt like a 5 star experience, on an $$ Yelp price rating. The food... I just cannot say enough about the food! The server said everything is made from scratch, except the pasta; and it is made fresh locally. We ordered 3 appetizers: Homemade Ragazza Meatballs with Red Sauce & Grilled Focaccia $5, the Arancini - Mozzarella stuffed with roasted red pepper sauce $7, and Grilled Steak and Mushroom Spiedini with Arugula and parmesan $7. We were in heaven. Then for our entrées... I ordered the SUNDAY SAUCE EVERYDAY It's a 6-Hour homemade red sauce dish, with melt in your mouth roast Pork that was pan seared in olive oil and then simmered in the sauce all 6 hours; add to that Scimeca's Sausage, housemade Meatballs, & Rigatoni for only $26... we'd have paid double! Bill ordered the RIGATONI BOLOGNESE with Italian Sausage, Beef, Soffritto, Red Sauce & of course Rigatoni for only $18. To finish of the meal, we shared a dessert (which we never do) - we had the BUDINO GF* - A rich, dense dark chocolate pudding (which I'd describe the consistency more like a soft fudge or a cheesecake); then they garnish it with flaked sea salt $8... that was the most decadent and silky dessert I've ever tasted! We are definitely going back as soon as possible. The next day, Bill, out of the blue, said hey, did you enjoy our meal last night as much as I did? Or were we just hungry? I was like, NO, we weren't just hungry.... THAT WAS THE BEST ITALIAN MEAL OUT I THINK WE'VE EVER HAD! He quickly agreed. So, if you're out and want a reasonably priced, stellar Italian meal, jet over to Ragazza at 43rd & Main. Reservations are recommended. We just happened in there at the right time and before the rush! Bon Appetito!

This place has been on my list to try for the absolute longest time and I cannot believe it's taken me this long to finally eat here and review this restaurant. Now, with construction - it might be a little bit of a headache to get here and parking is sort of limited in the lot but there is plenty of street parking. I made a reservation for 2 on a Wednesday night and i'm very glad I did. The restaurant is fairly small and can only sit a limited amount of people so make sure to set a reservation - even on a week day. I was seated promptly and service was pretty quick. I started off with an espresso martini and this is not for the weak! This is one of the more stronger espresso martinis i've had in a very very long time and i see nothing wrong with this but if you have a pretty high sensitivity to alcohol - i'd probably avoid this drink. I have a pretty good tolerance to strong tasting alcohol and even I had to make a face while sipping on this. I judge all Italian restaurants on their Arancini because although it's a very simply dish, it's easy to over complicate it and get it wrong because it's so "simple". The Arancini was nice and hot and nothing out of this world however, the sauce is what makes this dish. Typical arancini dishes have a sweet, basic sauce while this sauce had a slight kick to it- and it made all the difference. My partner and I split the Sunday Sauce Everyday pasta and the restaurant was very accommodating to this. They split the pasta dish in the back and I still received a very good portion. The meatball tasted great, the pork was super tender but the Scimeca's sausage was extraordinary. I honestly wouldn't mind if the sauce only had that sausage because it is packed with lots of flavor. For our sides we ordered Rosemary potatoes, which were fantastic and seasoned perfectly and some broccolini - flavor in every bite. You won't break the bank by coming here, and you're in for a very nice dinner if you come here. I typically get asked what the best italian restaurant in KC is and Ragazza definitely makes the list of top 5. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something more family style, it's a much more intimate setting. If you want an elevated dining experience, come here! Will definitely be back soon!

I have been here countless times and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Ragazza is a great date night or group get together spot. I would recommend having a reservation. Even on weekdays it can get busy. Now on to the food and drink. If you are a limoncello fan, you need to try their house made limoncello. I have ordered each on of their limoncello cocktails and the limoncello martini is my current favorite. Their roasted goat cheese appetizer is so simple but so delicious. I consistently order the bucatini all'amatriciana and it is fantastic every time with the perfect kick of spiciness. Overall, this is a top 3 KC Italian restaurant for me.
