The food was fantastic as always. Amazing burnt ends and sides. The wings were also great. Our server Jeremy was very kind and attentive, with excellent recommendations and knowledge.

I hadn't been to Q39 in several years but was in the area so I decided to try it again. Previously I've always dined in but I decided to get it to go on this visit. The online ordering was a bit frustrating. It took me multiple tries to get the order to go through due to technical issues on their end. I was finally able to get my order to process but it was definitely not the smoothest experience. There is a little door to the side of the main entrance for pickup orders. You ring a doorbell and then stand there till someone comes to help you. I didn't wait long and my food was done before the promised time. And it was accurate. I ordered the smoked beef brisket dip: brisket, provolone, horseradish aioli, on a hoagie roll with au jus. This sandwich was so good. Lots of tender brisket. A ton of melty cheese. The horseradish aioli had a good kick to it. And the au jus was the perfect dipping accompaniment. I would order this again and recommend it. My boyfriend ordered a half slab of the Q pork spare ribs. They were good sized with lots of meat. He said these were some of the best ribs he's had from a bbq restaurant in KC. We were least impressed with the sides. We got fries, baked beans, and an order of mac and cheese. The fries were fine. Nothing really special to them. I'm super picky about bbq beans so take my opinion with a grain of salt about them. I wasn't a fan. I felt like there's way too much chili powder used in it and that was all I could taste. My boyfriend thought they were fine but wasn't blown away by them. We also ordered just plain Mac and cheese. You can add additional toppings and meat for an up charge. The portion size was good, definitely shareable. I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the sauce. It wasn't bad just not my favorite. They have several other sides and starters so I plan to explore those on future visits.We will definitely return because there's lots of other things on the menu that we want to try.

Food is so good. Ribs are tender and juicy. Service was okay and took a little long but worth it. Downfall, had to but bread for my sandwich which is kind of crazy

By far the BEST BBQ place in KC, MO & KC, KS! This place has BBQ COMPETITION Plates on their menu! We came in on a very busy night and although we did not have a reservation, we were seated right away. Our seating was in a great location so that we could see the MANY, MANY BBQ Competion Medals that Q39 has won. The vibe here is awesome. Lots of customers and everyone having a great time. The music was on point and everyone in the crowd looked like they were enjoying their food.Our server was Savana, she was amazing! Her customer service and hospitality is amazing, and we enjoyed her full description of the menu and all of the key things that are recommended. We ordered: 1 Brisket Competition Plate, 1 Burnt Ends Burger, Mac n Cheese, Fries, and potato salad for our dinner. For dessert, we split a Sticky Toffee Cake. The BRISKET and BURNT ENDS ARE DELICIOUS AND PERFECTLY COOKED TO TENDER PERFECTION! The smoke flavor and sauce on all meats is AMAZING! The Sticky Toffee Cake is DECADENT DELICIOUS! This place is our new fave KC Spot! At the end of our meal we spotted the BBQ Grillmaster Executive Chef Mark. We recognized him from the company website. We asked if it was him and he confirmed it. He was VERY PROFESSIONAL and an excellent host to us. After talking to him, we felt reassured that we made the best choice by coming to Q39, and we will surely come back again!

Trying to get Superbowl reading picked up my order of Q39 Spiced Onion Straws and Mac & Q with Sliced Smoked Brisket.I've always loved onion straws here and they were crispy, battered to perfection. The Mac & cheese wasn't too flavorful but the sliced brisket was tender.

I remember coming here a few years ago and loving it. I came back while visiting KC and it was not as great as I remember but still very good. Giving it 5 stars because the burnt ends were phenomenal and the service was great. I like the atmosphere as well. The brisket was fall apart tender but drier than I like.

As a first timer here at this restaurant, I sat alone at the bar to order. Dharma, my server and bartender helped me make the best decisions with food and it was delicious. I couldn't have asked for a more friendly or informative staff. I will come back in a heart beat!

I can't decide on what I like more the decor or ambience. We traveled from the real barbecue capital of the world, Austin/ Texas and Q 39 was bar none the Best barbecue we tried in the Kansas City. Great Ribs and friendly service
