This store is incredible! They have anything you could ever need. Prices are a bit on the high end, but well worth having everything in one place. Everything seemed to be of great quality as well.Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and was able to find a parking spot on the street outside. What really sets this place apart is the staff. From asking about a product, to asking where the bathroom was, everyone was so friendly and helpful!Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area, and even worth the drive if you are not.

I decided I finally have to review Pryde's after they came in clutch on my city-wide search for a butter bell for a Christmas gift! If you are in need of any kitchen gadget, Pryde's should be your first (and only) shop. Pryde's somehow manages to be both cozy and crazy - with kitchen utensils, cookbooks, dishware, and decor from floor to ceiling. They have any kitchen item you could possibly imagine and probably at least 4 different options at different price points. When you enter, you are welcomed by the fantastically kind and helpful staff offering hot tea and coffee to sip while you browse. The staff is so knowledgeable and can point you in the correct direction for anything! Make sure to explore all of the different sections/floors or you will miss out! They have high end brands (like Le Creuset) and affordable options too! Their collection of fiestaware on the lower floor is massive. Did all the shopping make you hungry? Head to the lower floor to Ashleigh's Bake Shop for delicious and unique pies. If only the bakery was open more than just Thursday - Saturday! When you're ready to check out, navigate your way up to the counter where an employee will hand write your receipt and add up tax on a hand calculator -- a nice change of pace that really reflects the homey vibe of the store. Reminder for the holiday season -- they will gift wrap any items for free if you are patient enough to wait! Located on a little island between Westport Rd and 40th St. This section of Westport Rd is generally quieter, so you should be able to snag a street parking spot close by. Definitely worth the short walk if you have to park on a side street. Shopping at Pryde's is a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. They are only open until 5 pm, and that's my only complaint - I wish they were open more hours!

I was so glad to get back to Kansas City this year with my hubby and hit up one of my favorite places that my late mother, hubby, and I would explore each visit(because we never knew what we would find for who each trip. After having my double mastectomy last October, the hubby and I missed out on our annual trip last year. But this year, we made it, and it was well worth the wait, and as fun as I remember. I managed to find a few things to bring back home on the Black Friday shopping trip, but after the other Black Friday shopping, I realized, I would have to come back on Small Business Saturday to pick-up something I missed(which was a tea by the way). I always look forward to going each year, the staff is so sweet, and they always have coffee, and tea ready for the shoppers(which in the winter months, warms your hands and heart, as you look around). Thank you to the staff for making each visit so memorable and pleasant. I look forward to visiting again next year.

We came in recently to add some more Fiestaware to our collection for her birthday. They have a wide assortment and are always very helpful. It is worth the trip just to look around at all the kitchen ware that is available. This would be a great spot for brides and grooms to register.

I came in here with my sister looking for a Depression Green glass measuring cup. I saw one on a cooking show (Delicious Miss. Brown) and fell in love with that cup. To the Google I went to see what it was and found out it was from the 1930's and made by the Kellogg company. My sister said they might have it. She loves this place so much they know her. When we walked in, we were offered tea, water or coffee. I had some peach and hibiscus tea. It was delicious. My sister had coffee. Upstairs is more newer things. They did have mini Dutch ovens which I'm going back for. Downstairs, they had all the glassware. While they had the vintage looking Jadite things, no measuring cup. It's still a lovely store and I will be back!
