Downstairs from the Drum Room in the Hilton Presidential Hotel, serving the same menu, but with table service.DO NOT rely on the menu items in the Yelp listing; it seems to have changed and the actual menu is now shorter and less fancy (look for the menu in the photos, or on the website.) I wouldn't call this a seafood restaurant, for example; only one fish dish on the menu (the salmon).I'd call this a perfectly ordinary hotel restaurant; not bad but nothing exceptional.Friendly service.

We went for dinner before a show at the Music Hall and even though we were late for our reservation due to the lack of available parking downtown, our server was extremely gracious to us. Victoria was not only very professional and friendly, she was also a team player for the restaurant. When the bar was slammed due to some holiday parties, she jumped in and made sure all of her tables got their drinks!Due to some time restraints, we ended up ordering salads and sandwiches instead of their entrees, but the food was good and there were no complaints from anyone. It's a nice spot and worth a visit. Bonus that it's a manageable walk to the Music Hall!

HEY Kansas City! Let me tell you about a hidden gem in downtown Kansas City...You can find the Providence New American Kitchen inside of the Hilton President Hotel in downtown Kansas City. This kitchen is re-opening & has some SPECTACULAR items on their menu including: prosciutto pancetta, chicken wings, loaded nachos, perfectly cooked salmon, mouthwatering shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, & more. You can't complete your meal without one of their desserts! We enjoyed the ice cream flight that included 3 tastes from Betty Rae's. Did I mention the adorable & fancy adult beverages? When you are done with your meal, check out the Drum Room or even stay in one of the rooms. Providence New American Kitchen is a great spot to go on a date, for a business meeting, or even to grab & go. Do NOT miss out on this spot if you are staying in the hotel. It was a slow night so the bar called " the drum Room" also served and the dining area . I enjoyed a burger called the KC Island burger. Wow it was a full experience. Well presented and priced reasonably. The service was impeccable. The atmosphere was classic and warm . The bar was comfortable and I stayed they a long time . I'd go back in a minute!

We stopped by here before seeing a show at The Music Hall. It was great because it was within walking distance and we could make a reservation. I have been to the Drum Room countless times and had no idea about the restaurant in the hotel! We decided to split the grilled peach salad, the fried goat cheese salad and a side of fries. These salads were so good! I feel like you don't often hear people rave about salads after visiting a restaurant but these were both great. I would totally order them again. Our waitress was super nice and even let us know right when we sat down that they were short staffed and that she was also helping with room service. I always appreciate when staff is up front about situations like that because it helps customers understand and manage expectations. Our drinks were rather strong and we both had a hard time finishing them, but overall we had a good experience and would definitely come back!

Stars for service. It's hard for me to fault Providence because the two times I've been there the service has been over the top in a good way. In my experience, staff has been professional, kind, helpful, respectful, and goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure you have a good experience. Unfortunately, I personally haven't been as blown away by the food as I have the service. However, I think that may be because of what I order. This last visit I had the Arugula Salad with grilled chicken. It wasn't great for the price - it was small, the arugula stuck together in big clumps, and there were barely any toppings. I'm pretty sure the people who love Providence come here for the meatloaf specifically, but that just really isn't my thing. A huge plus is the private room, which we reserved for about 10 people for a dinner meeting. We had a few bottles of the Malbec which was divine. Our fabulous waiter Dennis completely sold us on dessert and even though I didn't have them myself they looked incredible - spiced apple pie and a s'mores dessert with homemade graham cracker ice cream! If you do go here, don't sleep on the dessert like I did!

Ordered takeout from here while staying at the hotel. I ordered one of their burgers with pineapple and bbq sauce on it. It was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but it was good. The fries were flavorful and not too soggy or crispy but just right.

Hello meatloaf! I don't normally dine out for meatloaf, but this place makes meatlove...ok a bit much. However, everything was great with potatoes and green beans. A pleasant surprise. I dropped one star because my wife got a steak, much higher price point and none of the flavor. I ended up having to fend her off from my meatloaf.The meatloaf is providence of a simple and delicious meal.

One server for a busy Saturday night with a sprint center event. Server was nice and polite but it was just wayyyy to much for one person. Food took forever and tasted awful when we finally got it. NO SEASONING. Will not be returning.
