Prime Sushi & BBQ Chicken

My go-to sushi restaurant. The fish always tastes fresh, clean, and beautiful. They serve the nigiri and sashimi in thick slices so it makes the prices worth it.They also serve korean fried chicken and a bunch of other Asian dishes. You probably think sushi and fried chicken don't go together, but it's honestly a lovely combination. Try it before judging.You can never go wrong getting any of their fried chicken. Every flavor is good and they are pretty generous in size.The restaurant is always clean and they serve you fast. I've gone to this restaurant probably 20 times now and have never regretting eating here.

Food- consistently goodService - goodAmbiance - bright and openBeen here a couple times now and their wings are the star of the show IMHO.Had the spicy once and it was tasty, friend had the maple and it's like soaked pancakes with butter.Got the Gangnam flavor this time (one pepper of 3 on the spice scale) and they're tasty with a very tolerable amount of spice.Finally figured out that the little pickled squares on the side are radishes, but never taste like a radish slice in a salad etc.....almost passes for cubed jimica.My 1st time getting their sushi, got 4 pieces of nigri 2 scallop and 2 tuna, both very tasty especially when soaked in a bit of soy sauce.IMHO, having been to CM chicken, but not yet to 92 chicken, this place is better than CM (which ironically is a Mahomes' stones throw away, over by Sheels).They have a LOT of different flavors o chicken and a good selection of sushi as well, so pick a spice level (or not) and go get the Korean wings (boneless or regular) here and start your new taste bud dance with the wings, sushi, or.....both!

I like Prime Sushi because of the variety (sushi, Korean food, fried chicken)! But the boneless chicken was not at crispy and looked a bit pink on the inside...we did enjoy the tteokbokki with cheese.I'll be back, but will order the wings bone-in.

Let me start by saying this restaurant is VERY cold, so bring a light jacket with you, haha. The servers were very attentive to our table and seated us right away. They played super fun music and the ambiance was just perfect for sushi night! I ordered the Mango Chacha and Coconut Gigolo roll and if you're into sweet and savory like I am, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend these 2 rolls! If you prefer trying just 1, then I recommend the Mango Chacha. It had the right amount of pineapple, right amount of sauce, perfect crunch. Just delicious. A friend and I shared the garlic edamame I believe it's called. Now I know there's no way I can come to this restaurant without ordering a plate of those. Sweet, salty, deliciousness! Overall, give this place a try if you're in the mood for good sushi, and right next door is the BBQ Chicken place which you can also order at Prime Sushi!

This place is okay - it is a clean restaurant, not crowded at all on a Friday afternoon. We were seated quickly in a booth. The menu is pretty expansive, one side is Korean fried chicken and the other is sushi and sashimi. We ordered the salmon sashimi (5 pieces) and the pieces were somehow dry like the fish was kept out for too long. The pieces were also quite small. The sushi was fine - we got the rainbow roll, salmon avocado roll and that was all fine. The tempura shrimp was not as good as other Japanese restaurants - I think there was something different with their batter. Service at first was fine, and we were there for maybe an hour or so before this waitress kept coming over and asking if she could clear our table. We still had pieces of sushi and we were slowly eating while chatting. Once is fine, but she came by three times while we were chatting. The restaurant wasn't closing either and they were not at all busy. So strange. I'd maybe do takeout from here, but I don't think I'll be dining in person again.

Absolutely adore this place! We have been coming for a year and it never fails. Delicious Korean Chicken, sushi rolls are to die for, and the best service in town. We had such great dining experience tonight. Thank you the owner and her husband for spoiling us.

Best sushi in Kansas City! Today we got the Einstein roll, the popcorn lobster roll and the baked scallop roll. The Einstein was our favorite but they're all a solid 10!

Best sushi around! We love all the various rolls we've tried and the other entree options are great too. The beef bulgogi and other bento box items are very tasty. The Korean fried chicken is great also!

We've been coming here for years for their Korean fried chicken and sushi. We mostly order their soy garlic boneless wings and some sushi. Kids like the boneless wings more. I like the regular wings more. Both are very good. We don't come as often because they've raised the prices, but the quality is still very good. When the bb.q chicken comes out fresh, it's amazing. The crunch and the flavor. So so good. And we always enjoy their sushi. Lots of options. The service is often friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has a comfortable and relaxing Asian atmosphere.

We have been coming to Prime Sushi because the food is great! But today I spent $16 on shrimp tempura udon as one of the dishes, and here's what I got. My kids did take two pieces of vegetables from this plate but we only got one small shrimp tempura, size of a French fry!! What a joke!! Very disappointed!!
