Still sad a day after playing the course. The Kansas city Great Life program has apparently ruined a great course in kc. This used to be one of my favorite courses. I still love the layout and placement of the bunkers. Oh wait bunkers; they are a mix of mud and water traps. They are supposedly under renovation. The traps that have had tile work done are still holding water LOL??? The bunkers that have signs in them "under repair" are full of big gravel. I'm guessing sand is next step. I could understand and not blame GL if it was just bunkers. However, fairways were spotty in areas. One fairway had several areas where crabgrass or something had gotten out of hand. They just left like 5 huge piles of dirt and grass clippings in the middle of the fairway. It kinda looked like piles of dino poop. I looked up in the rules didn't find how to navigate dino poop when you ball is stuck in it from you drive that you hit in the center of the fairway. Should have taken a pic of it for this post but was to mad to think about it at the time.I will give this course another go in the fall and hope they correct the mistakes made so far.

This is way out there for a northland girl but it was worth the drive. Beautiful open fairways. As hot as it was the day we golfed, the greens were in great shape. Yep, I'd make the trip again.

Lots of rough. Fairways are too high. Greens are absolutely torn up. And unfriendly staff. Cost $70 for two people for a 1509 tee time and had to sit and wait in line every hole. Unimpressed and there are many other courses out that that are better taken care of for less money.
