Took a class here with my sisters and it was my first time working out in a heated room. I loved it! The instructor was playful and fun which kept you going during glass. I was a SWEATY mess! The room was full and we were packed in a small room but otherwise extremely good workout and definitely would go again!

I have never been motivated to exercise until I joined Power Life. I enjoy alternating between the power yoga, Barre, and sculpt. The instructors are amazing and foster a community. If Power Life can motivate me to work out, they can motivate you too!

I've been going to PLY for two years now and had yet to try Billy's Candlelight Hot Yoga class on Tuesday nights. To me, yoga is about vulnerability and getting outside of your comfort zone, so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. Billy started off the class explaining what it would entail and most importantly, "If you have any judgement for yourself or anyone else in this room, you can check that at the door. That's not what this class is about." I was relieved! The room was dark with LED tealight candles lining the walls. The thermostat was set at 99 degrees, which shouldn't deter anyone because I found it to be more of a mental roadblock to overcome. The poses were tough but Billy guided us through, suggesting modifications and ways to challenge yourself if it was in your practice. You'll sweat a TON but it feels amazing. Absolutely recommend!

This was my 1st Yoga experience ever. I wanted to try it out, since I've started going to the gym regularly. I didn't want to go alone my first time, but also wanted to go with someone I was conformable with. My sister is a member here, and a huge Yogi (Is that what they call yoga lovers? -idk, moving on.). While visiting family in Kansas, I decided to try a class out. We did Power 1, which is an Intro to Power Yoga. The room is set at 85 degrees, and NO that is not considered 'HOT YOGA'. The studio was comfortable, I used my sisters extra Mat, we brought 'sweat towels' and water bottles. The class started on time, and was comfortably packed. I was thankful for the mirrors, because even though there was a mini demonstration of a few different poses, I didn't always remember what I was supposed to be doing when the instructor said different 'yoga' words. I did enjoy the movement of the class, each stance was thought out, and not rushed, but the pace was consistent. I appreciated, the attention to detail that was given to help those who weren't always 'nailing' the pose. On the flip side, I'm not a huge fan of people touching me, so I was a little caught off guard when the teacher came up to me, and rotated my hips to help direct me in to the correct position. Since I've never been to a Yoga class before, I was able to get a 'week free' once I signed up. Well I wasn't visiting for a week, so I only received the 1 session for free. However, that was nice, because I looked up the pricing and it is expensive! I have sense gone to the gym I am a member of and attended a Yoga class. I admit, it is not as fun without my sister. The gym I go too isn't a specialty place like this one, so the room was cold, and the teacher wasn't as interactive with the participants, and the flow wasn't as smooth. That being said, I really did like the class here. I know that when I visit my sister again, I would most likely pay to go to a class with her. The teachers/instructors were very friendly, and knowledgeable.Thank you to them for a pretty great 1st yoga experience, and my sister for taking me.

One of my go-to workout studios since I've moved to KC, as it provides a range of relaxing yoga classes to HIIT workouts. The instructors are motivating and friendly, and I like the clean, non-incense-burning vibe of the space. My only complaint is that there aren't more sequenced hot yoga classes on the schedule. Power 2 does in a pinch, though.

My favorite yoga studio in the KC area! The instructors and facilities are great. My home studio has been the Corinth location in Prairie Village. Kelsey and her team always make me feel welcome. I was comfortable from the first class! ( And it had been 3 years since I had attended yoga classes on a regular basis). I highly recommend PowerLife!

I am a person that likes (needs?) to work out daily, preferably in the morning. I enjoy endurance-type workouts and getting sweaty with an elevated heart-rate are factors that I find satisfying and contribute to thinking "that was a good/great workout" vs. "well, at least I got up and got this done today".There are several reasons I find Power Life Yoga to be the answer to my workout needs:1) Yoga rulez - creating and nurturing the connection between mind, body, and spirit continues to bring contentment to my life and increase my usefulness to others.2) I can't use yoga alone to meet my fitness needs. PLY satisfies this with a variety of formats, many of which are more fitness-oriented and incorporate an elevated heart-rate as well as weighted exercises.3) Great variety of classes at a variety of times. 4) Service - the instructors are very personable and approachable. They seem to do an excellent job of finding the right person for the job at this organization. One negative is the monthly cost, which is higher than many alternatives, but they do a great job of providing the value through the above areas. Both current locations in Kansas City have two studios - one small, one larger. The small studio suffers a little from a design decision that did not permit it to have any exterior windows. If you are reading this, you are likely at least curious so pop in and they will set you up with a free week of classes. Try to take 7 classes in those 7 days and give yourself a feel for what your days might feel like with Power Life Yoga in your life. It has lifted me out of a fitness rut and has me feeling energized!

My husband and I found this place while we were vacationing in KC. The studio is so classy. The bathroom/locker room area was so clean and organized and spacious! (I honestly have never seen a nicer gym/yoga studio bathroom). Our class started with our group sharing a positive moment from our week and we talked about how to easily spread happiness to others. That alone was refreshing. The instructor was very kind and clear in his instructions. The music was great too! Both my husband and I had a challenging and wonderful session. The only negative word I have to say about our visit at Power Life is that I wish there was one in my town. :)
