Pop’s Sweet Shop

This place delivered on the whole Old-Fashioned-Mom-and-Pop-Ice-Cream-Parlor vibe. Inside they've got a great selection of Blue Bell Ice cream and cones/cups. They do shakes, too. If ice cream isn't your thing they have cookies, cupcakes, fudge and candy. It looks like they also offer a lunch menu, if you're looking for a sandwich or some soup. I love how light and bright the inside of the place is. Just past the main room with booth seating is another room with tables and chairs, and a selection of board games. My kids and I played Candy Land while they ate their ice cream. I got a piece of fudge and it was quite delightful. All in all, it this place weren't so far away for us we'd be here a lot! Glad we got the opportunity to stop in while we were down this way.

I had planned to stop at Dairy Queen on my way home from running some errands, but decided to support a small local place instead. I honestly wish I had gone to DQ. I would have gotten more for my money there, plus much better tasting ice cream. This was mediocre at best. And such a tiny amount for the price. The staff was nice enough, but I wouldn't call them friendly. I expected more from a place that seems to have a lot of young kids come in with their parents. The shop was pretty cute, but nothing spectacular. I may give it another try sometime for the fridge or cannoli, but I'll stick to other places for ice cream.

Yay! A neighborhood ice cream shop with other confectionary goodies! And serving up Blue Bell ice cream? Be still, my Texan heart!You can find Pop's on the west end of the line of storefronts in Old Town Lenexa. A broad menu of handmade favorites, sundaes, milkshakes, and more greet you up above eye level while the selection of ice cream lays out in front of you. Samples are available on request, but c'mon, it's Blue Bell, so you know it's going to be fabulous. Two scoops runs you a little above $5, so there is a ton of value coming your way.Stretching out just before the register are trays and trays of handmade fudge, with all of the usual favorites like peanut butter and chocolate. There is also a small display case of macarons and other goodies, as well as a shelf of cotton candy and other delights.There is plenty of seating and the whole place has an old-timey ice cream parlor vibe. While Pop's is new to the area, it just feels like it fills out a much-needed niche in Old Lenexa and you can just see this small biz becoming an anchor of the area.

A wonderful place to take a break and enjoy a treat. My kids loved it. Family friendly.

When we have time to stop by we do and It never dissappoints. This place is awesome. They have great ice cream and shakes/malts. The service is always good and fast. The store itself is a nice place to take a few minutes to spend with your family. We like to play connect four when eating the cream. Fun and awesome. Check it out!!

They sell commercial Blue Bell ice cream, and the cookies are too sweet. Best bet is the cannoli- or elsewhere Friendly service!

Loved it. Great atmosphere, they have malts and serve Blue Bell ice cream! Family enjoyed playing games also.

Everything is always good and the service is amazing! Love this place! The cannoli's are amazing!

Bought cupcakes, lemon cookies, and pumpkin filled cookies here on 9/6/22 only to find out that the cupcakes are straight from Sam's Club, and the cup cakes and lemon cookies are straight from Aldi.
