Was given directions to arrive 10 minute early as not to "cut into party time" for our private party. I arrived 20 minutes early in hopes of decorating and setting up snacks for our party. No one was present at the desk upon my arrival, and when people did trickle out, no one acknowledged me; it was unclear who was a class member or employee. When our instructor finally arrived (10 minutes past the start time for our party) there was little to no direction other than asking us to sign in. She did finally ask if we wanted to "set up" as I had a cooler and obvious party supplies with me. I set up in under 10 minutes; we received approximately 40 minutes of instruction and the entire experience felt disorganized. We did have a good time, but no employee gave the impression of being "in charge". In the future it would be helpful if someone were there upon guests' arrival and prepared to direct the experience. Even if an instructor isn't the one hosting the party/class, it would be beneficial to engage with guests and at least assist/assure them of the process ahead. The text directing us to the location WAS helpful as we may not have found the location otherwise; it's a nondescript door next to a restaurant and tattoo parlor.

I live close to a pole dance gym. They have 3 classes a month. So I decided to try a class at Poleworx. I absolutely loved it! No, I couldn't quite do a fireman, but I'm almost there. The instructor, Marie, was patient and helpful. The classes are so much fun. There's available parking and the location isn't that far of a drive. I loved everything about it!

We did a class for a bachelorette party. Amber was awesome. So patient with all our giggling. We learned a ton of skills and got to do some choreography at the end! I had a blast and would definitely return.

Such a fun place when I had no idea what the hell I was doing. It is entertaining to watch my friends make the same mistakes as they too weren't professionals. I got to learn some swinging techniques but after an hour, I still can't climb the damn pole. They had stripper shoes available, maybe the pumps would have helped give me some push but if I wore them, I would have most likely injured myself and ruined the whole night for my bride-to-be friend. I took off my socks and shoes and pretended I was drunk and just acted silly the whole night like the pole was my lover. Any professional ladies that do this for a living, deserves full respect and lots of money. Great place for bachelorette parties, girls night, birthday parties or just plain workout.

I've visited this studio a couple of times while coming through town, and honestly it's not a great pole studio. The facilities are pretty cruddy in comparison to other studios I've been to. The floors are terrible--you have to wear shoes or socks or risk getting splinters, and doing any kind of floorwork is a no-go. The poles are really thick and difficult to get a good grip on, most of them don't have a spin function, and they feel really crammed in and are set up in such a way that you can only see the mirror from two or three of them. The graffiti on the walls is cool, but other than that the whole place feels a little dingy.Classes are really more of an open gym format, with an instructor present if you have questions or need help. Most of their pole classes are simply "Pole"--I would have liked to have seen a few more options for level and style of class. The couple of times I've been, the instructors have seemed to have trouble juggling teaching brand-new beginning students alongside more intermediate and advanced polers. I like learning new things from new teachers, but here I was mostly left to my own devices. The two instructors I've had were pretty good, I did really like Aimee--she has a lot of knowledge of advanced tricks, and was very patient and friendly. Judging by their website and social media, this place focuses mostly on bachelorette parties and less so on growing a regular client base of pole dance enthusiasts, like most other places I've been. It kind of seemed like the pole classes here were an afterthought. I heard from one of the other students that the studio is owned by two men who don't pole dance, which would make sense why it doesn't seem like a place that's designed for regular students. Two stars because instructors were nice and seemed to know their stuff, but if you're looking for somewhere to start pole dance classes I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

We had my 35th birthday party at PoleWorx, and it was a great time! We had a few complicating factors, but the owner helped us navigate everything seamlessly. My birthday is always on Boulevardia weekend, and it gets CRAZY in the West Bottoms. But overall, it was a pretty easy time! We all met for a drink at The Ship, then took a quick Lyft to the drop-off point, where we were able to breeze through the gates and walk right up to the PoleWorx studio. For the class itself: We had 7 girls total, at $20 a piece, and a private instructor. We started with stretching, then some basic pole familiarity, then on to tricks! The last 20 minutes or so was kind of a 'free play' and we got to use the cool spinning pole, and just generally goof around. I learned some cool tricks, and got a way better-than-expected workout. I am SORE today (morning after) in my hamstrings, shoulders, triceps, and hip adductors. Not to mention the bruises I sustained by throwing myself too-enthusiastically at a giant metal pole :P I'm not complaining! IT WAS GREAT! Will definitely be back, and I think I might check out their fitness classes too. They've got a parking lot right by the door, so under normal circumstances, it's super easy access. Thanks, PoleWorx, for a great birthday!
