Play It Again Sports - Overland Park

This is a very small sports equipment store. It reminded me of a garage sale in many ways. There's random workout equipment at the entrance, some of it looks very used. It is a resale place so this makes sense, but needed to be more organized. We weren't offered any type of help or assistance and there were six of us.

Large selection of wayyy overpriced, heavily used equipment. Went there looking for a used volleyball. They had a few there that were in rough shape for $20-$25!! Crazy. They sell brand new on Amazon for less. Ended up going to 5 below and got a brand new one for $5. They had a ton of golf equipment that was really scratched up and damaged that they were selling at brand new pricing. Look elsewhere

Sorry to interrupt the staffs day sitting down. Brought in a bunch of sports stuff to sell today. Extreme low ball offer. I declined and already sold one item for more than they offered me for 10 plus items. Rude staff. Don't go here. Waste of time. Buy and sell on Facebook Marketplace.

Came in to sell some clubs, they wrote a rubber check and then refused to return my clubs and told me I had to come back the following week, owner Robert Jarvis was incredibly rude and tried to speak to me as if I was a child then in a very mature fashion hung up on me. Don't waste your money here unless you like being treated like trash.

We came here with the express purpose of finding a set of ladies golf clubs for my wife. With that in mind, I was expecting to pull together a set from maybe a pile of used clubs or something. What they actually had were full boxed sets still in the package. After searching for a similar set online, I found that Play it Again was a small bit cheaper. The staff was helpful, and they had everything my wife needed to get started. I would give them 4 stars but for the fact that I expected a better deal on some used clubs. I intend to go back, because I saw some barbell weight sets that I might buy for myself. Who knows, I might revise my review when I do. Worth shopping here, but I'd check for competing prices when you do.

Needed a set of clubs for our 17-year-old son who is learning to play golf. The online photos were extremely helpful in choosing a set of irons that appeared to have been used very little and with like-new grips. I bought a set of Founders Club TV3S MP 300 steel shaft 3-SW that shows very few signs of ever being swung. Original tacky Royal grips. Also a PING G5 10.5 degree graphite driver in similar condition with original tacky grip and an Odyssey Dual Force 990 putter in similar condition with the oOdyssey tacky grip. All for prices near or less than what ebay sellers were asking. Could not be happier. Bob was responsive on the phone, by email and in person when I picked up the clubs. Nothing close on Craigslist Kansas City and plenty to choose from online at Play It Again. No shipping charges and had them in hand one hour from online purchase.

Couldn't have been more rude. It's like I interrupted their day to come into their store. Really disappointing experience. Will not be back.

Wish I could have gotten a bit more on the cleats and shin guards that I sold them, but the fact that I can get cash for things I'm not using any more, with the knowledge that they will end up being used by someone else, is a consoling one.

Bob was extremely helpful and kind. Went above and beyond what was required in terms of customer service. Overall a very pleasant experience with all of the staff.

We wanted a simple elliptical exerciser. We didn't want to spend a lot. This place turned out to be a great alternative to stores selling new one. We found the staff very helpful. They listened and found us exactly what we wanted for $500 less than a new one. Came with a 39 day return. So far it seems to work fine. We had a great experience.
