Plato's Closet - Overland Park, KS

Love shopping here. I'm a shoe fanatic so I often go here to find some unusual tennis shoe I can add to my collection. And they always have something I want to buy clothing-wise. My biggest problem with this store is being able to stay within my budget and not buy TOO MANY clothes because there's such a large selection for me.

I almost didn't come in here at all because of the astounding number of negative reviews. I haven't been to a Plato's closet specifically before, but I am very familiar with high end thrift shops. When I went in, I was promptly greeted. I was able to navigate the store easily. There were a few items that I wanted to try on, but a line was forming at the dressing rooms and after waiting a while it didn't seem like it would ever move. I looked up Plato's return policy on line and decided that it would be worth it to just drive back and return if needed as this location is very close to me. When I was checking out, the cashier helped me sign up for their rewards program and let me know that since it was Tuesday I was earning double points. I will definitely come back. I'm sorry to hear about all of the other experiences people have had here.

The older lady that runs this place is so rude and mean every time we go there. Ethically, I just can't spend my money at this place. She is snappy and rude and condescending. Should not be in this line of work!

While it is necessary to choose quality clothing, the employees that decipher the onboard apparel treat their customers with disdain. I encourage a bit of dignity.

Wonderful store and wonderful staff. They treat you fairly if you want to sell clothes. Great variety to choose from -- casual, athletic wear, business and formal. Great prices and special sales.

Just rude, rude, rude and they don't care. Don't bring nice gently worn clothes to this place. They don't welcome you and then start being rude and you feel like are bothering them by bringing in clothes that they have to evaluate. I'd rather give the clothes to Goodwill

The staff is honestly not nice at all. The shorts I bought there were shipped and and holes and one of the shirts had the pits all worn out. (didn't notice in person until trying them on at home) probably my own fault. however im very disappointed by the staff some of the rudest people I have encountered yet. They had lots of different brands and selection to choose from however most of the clothing wasn't in the best condition. I don't think the things that were on the shelf were worth as much as they were priced. the lululemon and other expensive name brand items were not in good enough condition to be priced as high as they were. Very disappointed.

Service was rude and snotty, brand new clothes were traded in and I received 25 dollars ,total rip off!! First and last time I will be a customer

Spoke to a older woman both in person, and on the phone about selling some of my clothing. It's obvious that she is always cranky and doesn't want to perform her job correctly, ruins the whole business. Something obviously up with her life

Not impressed at all with the customer service. No one greeted us when we walked in, stood at the counter for a while before anyone acknowledged me, and then the lady who checked me out said nothing except my total, and then didn't even hand me my items, and I guess they don't offer bags anymore. And no one said anything as we left either. They all seemed like they received bad news that day or something.
