Plato's Closet - Liberty

So before I get too harsh I will say I left here with a gift card for my son. Their selection and prices are excellent. Even their young men's department had me excited for my 17 y/o. It's the staff that leave much to be desired. When I first got there with my box the girl working the counter looked at me like I was crazy. I could feel her judgement seeping through me and it made me cringe. She was sure to tell me "our buying policies are current, like within the last 2 years and in style" and I just kinda shook my head embarrassed. Apparently she couldn't get past her judgement of me, they took nothing and there was a brand new maxi dress in there never worn. As I was pulling out I noticed clothes mentor. Here I was greeted with a smile and ZERO judgement. Refreshing.

brought in an entire bag of gently/never worn plus size items including size 11 dollskill/Delia's leopard platform boots, not one thing was purchased and I got told the particular style doesn't "sell well" or they're "overstocked" (on leopard print platform boots, okay) so avoid bringing your fat person clothing here. also didn't help that every person working there had the snottiest looks on their faces and handled my items like they were picking up garbage. y'all are gross. Do better. Thanks

don't waste your time coming to this location, not only do they have questionable employees working the front, but you will bring in a bunch of really good stuff that are worth hundreds of dollars with tags still on them and they won't even take it or they'll give you four dollars for a pair of shoes that were originally $500. Please do not waste your gas coming here.

This Plato's Closet is the best one around the KC area. The employees were extremely polite and they had a great set up. They have a great online check in system to ensure a faster experience. Also, they were done going through my big box of clothes in like 8 minutes. I was overall very pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend this Plato's Closet to anyone! Keep it up Liberty PC!

RUDE/HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Went there a little over 1 months ago. Dropped off some clothes and shopped around. I could hear the girls making distasteful comments about some of the items I brought while I was in ear shot distance. They looked at my stuff for less than 5 minutes and took nothing. Fine, whatever, I took the same items to the lees summit location (which the inventory and quality is 10x better) and they took almost everything I had. HORRIBLE customer service skills can't believe they would hire someone like that.

It's weird. I've been to Plato's all over the country, I had actually just been to the one a few miles away to sell some stuff the day before and they were delightful. These girls threw me for a loop though. They were very superior and condescending. In my haste I made some mistakes with forgetting containers for selling which was 100 PERCENT MY FAULT. I would have happily gotten them contained and come back had the staff asked. Instead I got an extremely judgmental/ passive aggressive reception from everyone. Maybe if it's that big of a deal, allow your staff to refuse items that aren't in containers so they don't feel so misused

Liberty Platos Closet has an amazing social media page and the selfie wall is incredibly cute & very trendy. However, they need to spend the same amount of time they put into making their social media & store seem aesthetic into their quality of staff. The staff is not super friendly or seem motivated to do their job. When talking to staff in person or on the phone they sound like it's an inconvenience for them. I hope their customer service improves.

I've been selling to this Plato's for years and they are so extremely rude every single time I'm in there. Whether it's receiving dirty looks or attitude while I'm checking out I feel very judged every time I go in there. Today I sold brand new items I have never worn and they took only one item. I asked if there was anything wrong with them or why they weren't selected and the lady opened up my bags went through the clothes and said "yea I wouldn't buy those from you either" as if they were terrible when they were brand new trending pieces of clothes. The tank top they bought from me was originally 40 dollars, never worn it just didn't fit me and they gave me $2.50 for it. Wishing there were nice and friendly employees who worked here.
