This is the best Plato's closet I have ever actually sold too, I walked in the immediately talked to me and asked if I have sold there and got be all checked in. The nicest employs I have ever experienced at a Plato's closet.they had an amazing selection of things here everything is very well organized and clean. I will definitely come here again and sell!! After my buy had been completed they explained why they didn't take certain items. Love this Plato's closet

I have attempted to sell at platos closet many times with good quality clothes of the brands that line their aisles. yet today they chose to take 9 of my high quality american eagle jeans and a nike windbreaker and offered me 24 dollars. if you do that math that adds up to less than 3 dollars per item. that is simply cheap and ripping off those who sell you clothes simply because they are younger. not only that, but they informed me that it would take less than 25 minutes to get back to me. i went to run some errands and came back within that mark. i walked around the store for another half hour and they were still not done. instead of letting me know how much time was left for them, they let me foolishly walk around the store wasting my time. once i finally left, they texted me within ten minutes. an awful experience and a total waste of time.

Long time Yelp reader...first time reviewer. Funny thing, what hills we all choose to die on. For some, a soggy taco shell, others a bug that chose to join them at their table while trying to enjoy a nice meal. Me...a resale clothing store experience. Let me save you some time and mortification by NOT trying to sell your clothing here if you:1. Are over the age of 28.2. Have a professional career that requires "business casual" attire.3. Have clothing from events like YOUR friends' weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, professional job interviews - aka events you likely attend past the age of 23. 4. Have a wardrobe with blurred lines between office attire and personal life attire.5. No longer buy "going out clothes" because...well, your "going out" no longer requires special attire.6. Think your clothing like a beautiful lace-back Anthropologie romper or gorgeous Tory Burch flats are a "no brainer" and sure to be purchased. 7. Buy things from brands like J Crew, Madewell, Anthropologie, etc. 8. Don't want to be told your items are "too mature" by a half-wit 18 year old with 6 nose rings and a gaggle of tattoos she will regret in 10 years. If you ARE shopping or selling here, you should know the company you are giving your hard earned money to or contributing to their stock, thinks your style is "immature" or that you are not worthy of items that may elevate your appearance. Plato's Closet - you're missing the mark.

I just want to say I have tried to take some clothes in there. Now most of what I take in there my husband wears 2 maybe 3 times and never wears again so in very good condition and they never buy them all. I have tried to take things there to sale the but will not anymore. I have good clothes barely worn and they don't buy them. When they do buy they only pick like 6 to 8 items and then give back the rest with no real explanation why they didn't take the rest. Would highly recommend to take your things else wear. This is why I don't buy from them as well.

I recant. While most every time has been pleasant, it think I hit the day when the tasteless teens were working..... I walk in with my white linen pants flowy orange top and straw bag, I get the once over from two of the girls. YUP I just got profiled by the young teen workers, I am NOT a teen or even in my early 20's but I am Trendy and I do have style and change my wardrobe seasonally.... basically yearly.Nervously wishing I would have worn cut off jean shorts and a tacky navajo print cheep forever 21 shirt with some feather earrings (all tacky and on the outs for next year/season).... I reluctantly hand tub of clothing mostly unworn items from within the last year. (A few older ones but they are staple pieces...Like white linen pants and white capris) BOTH VERY IN RIGHT NOW! ALL name brand. I even had a pair of missoni tights NEW IN PACK !!I browse the store while waiting, looking at their collection of handbags.. because they are SO reasonably priced. I glance through the racks of tacky prints and outdated pieces looking for some staple items to add to my wardrobe... because I love a good deal! "thanks for coming in today, sorry there is only one item we can buy from you, your items are over a year old and not our style, but we can offer you $4.50 for your Ed Hardy Shirt"Really??!! who the hell wears Ed Hardy??!! Wholly Fashion Crimes Batman! I threw that POS in there just to see if I *could* get rid of it! My old 2007 outdated- over marketed- no longer worth the $100 I paid for it Shirt because he sold his stuff to discount stores..... Yup. they need a more diverse buying team.... ones who actually know fashion, current trends and FUTURE. I refuse to be a fashion victim... therefore I can no longer shop there.

I've been to about 4 different Plato's Closet locations around the United States and this is the only one that I have liked. The store is just the right size - not too big and not too small. The accessories and clothes are well organized with designer goods displayed in front of the cash register. Although I was here to sell clothes, I walked out with a purchase. Hidden in the array of short-sleeved women's shirts arranged by size and color was a purple and fuchsia print BCBG Generation shirt with the original tags on it marked down to $7!They wouldn't buy back any of my clothes but in their defense, it was the third store I have visited and the other ones have picked through the best items. Most of the items are well-priced, good quality, and trendy. Plato's Closet also carries a small selection of men's clothing.

I've been to most of the Plato's Closets in the metro area and this one by far had the most selection and was the neatest. Plato's closet is known for having slightly upscale, trendier (more expensive) second hand clothes for juniors. I usually go looking for something specific that I want but don't want to pay an arm and a leg for. On the day i ventured into this plato's closet, I was looking for running shoes and a jacket. I didn't find a good jacket but I did find some barely used North Face running shoes for $25. I was there before attending a concert so I didn't have loads of time and I wish I could've spent more time there. The selection was definitely superior to what I'm used to with this chain. It's probably the southern Johnson County location. It's a bit of a drive from where I live but I'm sure I'll be back many more times!

Wow! This store has an amazing selection and I left with a whole new wardrobe! I went in just to sell a couple items and I thought their offer was good. The staff was kind and greeted me as I came in as well which i've always appreciated. Definitely recommended trying out this store if you're in the area!

They closed at 6pm instead of 8pm as was advertised. I had driven an hour of my way to pick up an item which was on hold. Associates and store manager not willing to help. Contacted the owner who also did not care that I would have to make yet another trip to their store. Terrible customer service and angry that a local business owner would treat a regular customer this way.
