Platinum Outdoor Concepts

I DO NOT recommend Platinum Outdoor Concepts. I work with contractors all the time in my job. It isn't a matter of a company never having something come up, it's bound to happen at some point, it's how the company or person responds when issues do arise. With Dave Woodring, expect HORRIBLE customer. I would definitely not recommend using them for anything. I bought my new house in mid February. Mid March I had a drunk driver flip their car landing in my driveway and throw large chunks of a neighborhood sign into my house. Luckily the driver was ok, my house, not so much... All the fluids from the car leaked all over the driveway and large chips throughout as well, due to this my insurance company allowed for for driveway to be replaced. I was given the information for Platinum as a referral. I saw that they did landscaping and drainage as well, so I figured I'd do a couple other things that were needed as well, so it would be perfect. I needed to have my sump pump line buried with a French drain because it was causing issues in my new neighbors yard. Also, I decided to have the downspouts buried as well. Finally, because my driveway was being replaced I figured now would be a perfect time. I have a sprinkler system, so I confirmed with Dave prior to the driveway repairs being completed that they would be able to move the lines out. I wasn't sure exactly where they were, except for 1, which was 6" from the driveway. I also provided him a copy of the sprinkler system map left by the prior owner. He stated that the lines were typically about 1 to 1.5' from the driveway, which they were to be widening the driveway about 2.5' out on each side. He said, not a problem, all of his guys have the tools to do this. He took a photo of the map and provided it to his employees. They also confirmed with me that they had the maps. Once complete the concrete worker told me Dave would be sending someone out later in the week to relay the lines. I checked with him and he stated they weren't working, therefore he didn't have to do anything. I provided him with the sellers disclosures stating they were working on 10/29 when winterized, confirmed with my neighbor they were working last summer and provided him a report from the tech who serviced the system 3 times a year at minimum for the last 5 years confirming they were working. When I had the lines turned on (which he told me not to do prior to the driveway being replaced) the 1 head the left on one side is still working as well as the heads after the ones removed on the right side of the driveway are working. I received no response until I sent him one of the Ring videos I have where we were specifically talking about the sprinklers. Shortly after he watched it I received a message on 4/20 from Dave stating: Jesse - I will be in touch this week in order to try and get this resolved. - Dave Woodring  - Platinum Outdoor Concepts The next I heard from him was 4/23:I can swing by next week in the Morning and take a look at what we can do to come to an agreement with the work done. - Dave Woodring - Platinum Outdoor Concepts I sent him a message asking when I never received a response. I have still not received any response. 2 things were requested with my driveway, I told him I didn't want to widen it if they were not able to relocate the lines and I wanted the line to be centered on the garage door. I was assured both would happen. Neither did. I was hoping he would do the right thing and fix the sprinkler system, however that has not happened. All the issues include:1. The sprinkler system an issue. This will be a $1900 fix due to 2 zones needing to be rebuilt (they buried one of the valve boxes) and 1 new line run for a third zone. 2. the center line that is off center3. massive cracks in the street at the end of the driveway4. he massive ruts in my yard, side yard and front yard. I expected some mess, however the damage is excessive. They put seed and hay out in my friends yard after they were complete.  5. they left a large pile of roots for me to figure our how to dispose of them as Missouri does not pick up yard waste. I ended up getting LawnCorp service to pick it up. 6. 2" pipe left completely open into a 4" pipe for the French drain system and they didn't have the right tools to get through the roots to take the line to the street like Dave said they would, so they stopped it halfway to the street. It's now messing up my neighbors yard in a new place

Dave was gracious to donate an outdoor lighting package to the MDA Auction that we purchased. Worked with him on design and placement of the lights. Installation went smooth, you couldn't even tell they were there! Pictures show during and after, very happy to recommend and glad to work with companies that support great causes.

My grandma recently purchased a home and the yard was a nightmare. A friend of mine referred Dave with Platinum Outdoor Concepts, and they did not disappoint! They went above and beyond to not only complete the job, but to make sure she was absolutely satisfied (which is not an easy task)! I highly recommend Dave and this company!

I would give them a NEGATIVE review if I could. Dave and his team are utterly and completely unprofessional in their work and dealings with clients. 1. There were several lights broken as they installed them. I had to fight to get them replaced. 2. I have two dead trees that he is refusing to replace for free. These trees well cost over 1000 dollars and he wants to charge me to replant them. He's refusing to present a receipt to even get the warrantee on them honored. They were dead in less than two months. 3. They left dangerous wiring sticking up from the sidewalk and showing all over the backyard. 4. Dave kept changing the placement of plants without discussing it with me first. 5. Dave refused to give me an invoice of any kind. We were trying to get receipts to just return the trees and replant ourselves but he refused to even give the name of the nursery. There's something fishy here...PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!

I worked with Dave with Outdoor Platinum Concepts to take care of tree removal. He was easy to get a hold of, cost-effective, his crew was courteous and professional, and the job was done perfectly! I would recommend the Platinum Outdoor Concept team for all of your outdoor needs!

When it comes to retaining wall landscaping. Platinum Outdoor Concepts is a shiny example of excellence. my mom wanted more curb appeal to her new home and Dave was very knowledgeable. He filled me with plenty advice and designs. They cleaned up very well and closely worked with us on dates and cost. It turned out wonderful. Thanks to them, I was able to put a smile on her face for the holidays. I 100% recommend POC to anyone wanting a quality job on any hardscaping/landscaping work. I will use them again.

Our yard never looked better! My neighbor was getting some work done so I talked to the crew and then got in touch with Dave and I'm glad I did! They added rocks to our sparse rock beds and put in new and better rock beds too. It all looks great! They also trimmed our overgrown shrubs and they look better than I knew they could.The guys were very professional and very fast and we'll definitely use them again!

I worked with Dave Woodring on a landscaping job for our home. Dave was professional in his approach and had great ideas for different bushes and shrubs to plant. He was prompt and laid out an excellent landscaping plan. He has a very good eye on how to enhance your home's curb appeal

We recently had Dave and team repair our fence after storm damage. Honestly they made a few mistakes the first time out. I asked them to come out and fix the gates because they weren't level and flush. They did come back out and fix them and now our fence looks great! I thought they did a good job and we are very happy with our fence now.Jason M

I hired Platinum Outdoor Concepts back in June to design and install a drainage system to run water off of my property. I was so satisfied with their work that I had them come back out to install LED flood lights across my landscape. David was professional and very knowledgeable. The work was beautiful but efficient. I definitely feel like I got what I paid for. I would highly recommend them for any type of landscaping work.
