Pho Sai Gon

Pho Saigon is a cafeteria style restaurant. You order at the register, they give you a beeper, and you pick up your food. You choose your add-ons, vegetables, sauces, etc.. at the condiment bar. If your table it dirty, they provide cleaning supplies (antibacterial/cleaning spray, towels, paper) for you to clean it. And you bus your own table when you're done.Although some people may not prefer this style of restaurant, I love it. It gives me a homey feel. They don't expect you to tip, although I always do - just 5-10% - and I get to choose where to sit and for how long.Even so, the staff are really nice and accommodating.The food is the best part. Their pho soup is excellent. The broth is clear and light. The meat is fresh and tasty, the noodles chewy and slurpilicious.The bun thit nuong (grilled pork with noodles, fresh lettuce, pickled daikon and carrot, plus crispy egg roll) is mouthwatering.Their banh mi (sandwiches) are delicious, grilled pork, fresh cucumbers, cilantro, jalapeno, and pickled carrots.Their fried chicken with saffron rice, cucumbers, lettuce, and pickled daikon and carrots is incredible. The chicken is so crispy, and they give you 2 HUGE pieces.I could go on..A bang for your buck and satisfaction for your stomach.

Kind of hidden spot on 148th ish and Metcalf, in between a car shop and a taekwondo gym, is a staple pho spot in Overland Park. This is my to go spot down south! Everything is pretty solid here and it's nice you can grab your own condiments to your liking. Their banh mi sandwiches are pretty good and best when dipped in some pho broth ;). But they do sell out before 5, so if you're wanting to make sure you get one I would call ahead to secure it! Their servings are a pretty decent size so if you order a large I would definitely make sure you're HUNGRY. I will say sometimes their pho broth is better on certain days than others, but still always pretty good consistently.

The place itself is kind of a get in get out sort of vibe. So I wouldn't say date place unless you just want really good food and your date is OK with that. They have a station to get extra goodies for your food. Very functional.The staff are very kind and helpful. The food tho, that's the winner I had Bahn Mi which I've had before, but it was probably the best I've ever had. And I tried Cahn Bun for the first time and it was so delicious. The noodles kind of feel like noodles everything was so fresh.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the remodeled layout of this restaurant. The space feels a lot more spacious and upgraded. The food and service is also consistently good. Highly recommend if you are looking for a casual sit down meal!

This place is pretty good. Legit Vietnamese. I really liked the layout and the service. A lot of large tables. No wait staff. You order, pick up, and clean up after yourself. Easy, no frills. As for the food, it was great and comforting. The large Pho is really large. The rice dishes were pretty good. Egg rolls were on point. Though not Vietnamese, I really liked that they served Boba here. I would go back if in the area again.

Definitely satisfied my pho craving and also loved that they have a lot of authentic vietnamese dishes! Everything was mostly self service. It was nice to get my own herbs and beansprouts for my pho, thought that helped reduce waste. Tables were cleaned, other than that nothing really stood out ambiance wise. Hope to be back to try other things on the menu!

A nice Vietnamese sit down to grab some nice pho. Portions are generous and everything is fresh tasting. It is a counter service, which is convenient and quick.

I love their Chicken pho, egg rolls, chicken fried rice. We have been going there for so many years. Over the years they have renovated the place and added more things. This is my to go authentic pho restaurant. This is self service restaurant.

I have been a regular to this restaurant for more than 7 years, and their food has always been great. Until after they remodeled the restaurant, the price is higher, and there are only two small thin pieces of meat inside the small white carry out box (for beef pho), and two small quartered meat ball piece inside. What's worse, there is no bean sprouts and vegetables inside my carry out bag. I am very disappointed with their food now, not sure if I will go back again.
