Pegah's Family Restaurant

Pegahs is a locally owned KC breakfast spot, serving solid classics. This location is in the downtown Shawnee area which makes it a nice place to eat breakfast and then check out the surrounding shops nearby. Our servers were very friendly, there were just a couple instances of forgotten requests that were quickly rectified once we said something. If this is your first time there, at the end of your meal you take your ticket up to the cashier instead of paying at the table. The food was delicious, I got my go-to which is the chicken and waffles. They hand bread their tenders, which are moist and flavorful. The waffle was crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, this is a solid crowd pleaser and I always take my out of state friends here for a cheaper tasty meal.

Nadia was our server and she was absolutely amazing! Great personality and very attentive! We all 3 ordered the baked chicken special with 2 sides and a roll. Two of us got the mashed potatoes w/gravy and the other one got a baked potato. We all 3 got carrots. Pumpkin pie was for dessert. Everything was good, but we just didn't care for the seasoning on the baked chicken. It was very tender. Ample seating throughout the facility and the place appeared to be well kept/clean. I would recommend giving this place a try!

Pegah's has great food, wonderful service. Their food is large portions, and delicious. We've been eating there for years now, and their commitment to serve is always top notch. Mo, when there comes around and thanks us customers, along with the waitresses. Drinks are always full, and they treat you like family. If you haven't given them a try, you're missing out.

I can see why this place has been such a longtime Shawnee favorite. It's so cozy, with an expansive menu, affordable prices, and super friendly service. It's hard not to love a spot that serves home style breakfast favorites all day and has such an expansive dessert menu. Any of the breakfast plates are sure to satisfy and I look forward to getting back to try some of their other plates.

Good good, great value and in my opinion the quantity matches the price perfectly! Waitress was attentive to our drinks and mentioned desserts and appetizers. Spacious and well lit.

Today was our 1st visit and we will be back. The atmosphere was like a small town diner, your servers knew many of the people coming in and hearing their interaction was heartwarming. The food was amazing, we had fried mozzarella as an appetizer, they were yummy and the marinara was so so so good. The chicken fried steak and white gravy was one of the best I have had. The ranch dressing was also really tasty.

We come here for breakfast quite often. Standard breakfast fare and it's delicious. There's also a pie display case but I'm always too stuffed to try it.

One of the best diners in town. You may have to fight the regulars for a seat but it's worth the scuffle.I get something different each time, but almost always breakfast. I highly recommend the steak skillet or the pork chops and eggs! The burritos are excellent as well.

I thought this was just gonna be an average little diner. And on my first Sunday visit I discovered their Nutella French toast. I only let myself go to Pegah's if I've walked my dog for 80 minutes at least 6 days that week. We have to get up at 4:45 am to walk, even on weekends. I might be exhausted and REALLY want to hit snooze, but as soon as I realize I won't get this French toast if I don't get up--I'm UP! It's THAT GOOD!

I love this place for breakfast and or lunch but my last 3 orders have been mismanaged, gravy on top of omelet but did not order it with gravy, ate it anyway. Turkey dinner carry out and iced tea was missing and last but not least ordered breakfast with Rye toast and received some type of other bread concoction. I'd suggest an improved quality process.
