Pat's Steak House

We were excited about trying this place based on the reviews & the fact that we were looking for something new...but it wasn't our favorite. We ordered mushrooms as an appetizer. For almost $7, there may have been 6-7 mushrooms on the plate. My husband asked before ordering the chicken livers if it was a pound. The waitress said she didn't know, but there were 'a lot'. It came &, again, there might have been 8 tiny livers for $16.95. We were told when we ordered there were several things they were out of. One of them was Texas toast. Both my meal & my husbands were supposed to come with it - there was no price adjustment nor offer of something in its place. My dinner also came with the salad bar. The lettuce bowl was empty & I had to find someone to fill it. There was next to nothing on the salad bar to choose from either. We ordered my son a hamburger to go - got home, & it was not much bigger than a slider. We spent close to $80 & didn't feel like we got anywhere close to our money's worth. The place is absolutely beautiful inside & the atmosphere good. The waitress said she was new, but she seemed knowledgeable & was very kind...but for what we spent versus the food itself, it was most definitely a miss that night. Not sure that we'd return.

I made it to Pat's! Pat's steakhouse was opened for years but when Pat became ill and passed away it closed. It has since been reopened by her daughter. We arrived at 6:15 on a Thursday, and was greeted right away by Erin, the place wasn't busy we were seated right away. The menu offers a variety but not too much, where it's overwhelming. I ordered the 2 piece chicken meal, which includes the salad bar, choice of potato and Texas toast. The chicken was cooked to order so it did take about 25 minutes to get our order, but it was worth the wait. It was the perfect amount of crispness, I ordered the white gravy, so much flavor and homemade mashed potatoes to boot. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and said it was excellent. They are not located in a town or even on a busy highway. They opened 2 weeks ago. I believe the salad bar will get better but it was enough to make a side salad, with tomato, pea pods, cheese, croutons and dressing. All in all the service and main meal were great. The place looked great. I will be back.

We just had an amazing meal with family & old friends this evening. Mickie has done an amazing job restoring the restaurant and putting together a great menu of Pat's best meals. The food, service and atmosphere are outstanding. Good Job!
