It's always a great time at the Nature Sanctuary. We brought a picnic to enjoy on one of the trail's benches. It was peaceful! The trail and amenities are well maintained. It's also a nice departure from English Landing Park - just a different vibe. The parking is limited so either plan your visit for a less popular time or be ready to walk up the hill a little.

All-time favorite place to go to connect quickly back with nature! Trails are maintained very well. Can be slightly busy at times, which isn't a bad thing per se, can just make parking a challenge. No dogs allowed for the wildlife's sake, which I totally understand (and I have two dogs). Please follow the rules posted that we may enjoy this place for many years to come. So happy to have this little slice of heaven tucked away in this ever growing city.

No dogs allowed. And Parking can be an issue. But other than that this is a great place for an easy hike with the family. You don't have to worry about getting sunburned either since you are in shade most of the way. On the backside there is a longer route that does get hilly. But it's worth the climb in my experience. Be sure to stop by and check out this amazing place.

Amazing park for kids, plenty of picnic table areas and beautiful walking paths along the river. One of my favorite places to get in a workout. I'd caution around going when it gets dark. The parking lot is not lit up and only the first walking loop has lights along it.

This is one of the best hiking trails in the metropolitan area for moderate hiking, through a natural Missouri river hill preserve. We delighted in several of our discoveries and, in one case, the story behind it. Go see for yourself

We loved the quick and easy Wild Tail and Old Kate Loop. There's just enough incline to get you sweating but nothing too technical. There's plenty of shade and options to change trails along the way if you need to shorten up your adventure. Enjoy!

Easy walk through the woods. Can turn hard quickly if you don't fallow the signs! Clearly marked for where to go to take a nice stroll.

My new favorite local park! Plan on coming here regularly. Saw turkey, deer, black rat snake, beaver, ducks, hummingbird, & lots of butterflies. Very relaxing place. Had lovely picnic lunch here. Love how shady the majority of the trails were. Trails are very easy. Can't wait to come back in the fall. The waterfall is quite pretty, & the streams. Quite an idyllic park. No dogs allowed, & there are no bathrooms either.
