Showed up at 4:50 and they said they were closed. This has been my second attempt to come. Not pleased with the limited hours. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday and Monday and Thursday close @4:50 PM. How can anyone with a job come on a weekday. Dissatisfied and will be going elsewhere.

Paradise is a slice of southern California in the Crossroads District of downtown KC. We stumbled upon it while walking around and were drawn in by their awesome display of cacti, succulents and tropical plants. Inside we were greeted by a warehouse full of plants to buy, from small aloes all the way to big tropical trees. The shop is expertly curated with lots to choose from, along with services like "plant doctor," gardening accoutrement, and branded merchandise. We really enjoyed our visit and picked up a plant for the winter. The owner was super friendly too. We'll be back!

Very cool place but ultimately all flash and no substance. Bought a spider plant from them about 2 months ago, specifically asking how long I could keep it in the pot it came in before it needed a bigger home. The woman working there told me it would be fine for awhile, at least until next season. Cool, because that was the size I wanted so it all worked out. Purchased the plant (which honestly was a bit overpriced). Not two weeks later basically every leaf is turning brown. I am careful not to over or under water, so that wasn't the issue. Besides, spider plants are supposed to be the easiest plant to care for!I DM'd them on IG as they'd instructed me to do if I had any issues. Sent a picture. At first they responded and said they'd send the pic to their 'plant doc' and find out. Never heard back. Reached out two more times and was ignored. Finally, after it kept getting worse, I brought it in. I'd had the plant a total of 4 weeks and it was basically half brown. The 'plant doc' took a look, pulled it out of the pot, and showed me it was severely root bound. The roots were almost coming out the bottom of the pot. So much for 'its fine until next season.'They then charged me $5 to tell me the plant they'd just sold me was root bound.I repotted it but I'm afraid it was just too late. $28 down the drain. But I've learned my lesson about these flashy plant shops - go someplace where they actually care and know what they're talking about.

I can't believe I had never been here! First off, what a gem of a place! Their cactus' are absolutely stunning + I TOTALLY wish I had the room in my house for all of them! Second off, all the employees seem to be full of information on all the plants. I love how the store is laid out by light needs. I will admit, the plants and all the planters seemed to be a little more pricey than I am used to paying but the vibe is worth it.

This place is so stinkin cute!! The atmosphere is very welcoming. They have a really great variety of cactus and several monstera and bonsai species we were just introduced to. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and super helpful but not overbearing. The prices are more than reasonable and we learned they also have a "plant doctor" service where you can bring your plants in to be diagnosed if they're experiencing any issues for only $5! We thought that was so great! They also host classes which we will definitely be attending and walked out with 2 new little plant babes I doubt we would've found elsewhere!! We will definitely be returning for more in the future!

My wife and I were on the hunt for good plant stores and unfortunately this place is closed to the public for some reason so didn't get to experience it what so ever. Overall very disappointing :(

I will say, this place is so cute! BUT beware before making any purchases. This place is DRASTICALLY over priced. There are various other nursery's in the area who have prices even 1/4 of these for the same plant or pots.
