I loved my experience at Par Exsalonce on College Boulevard for a Mint Body Wrap. Other than not being acknowledged immediately when I arrived, everyone was extremely helpful. I loved the foot bath in the relaxation room and the cucumber water while waiting for my treatment to begin. Courtney Ford was my treatment provider and she was excellent. I wrote down that I didn't like talking during my treatment and she was very thoughtful to keep it quiet and explained the treatment all at the beginning.All areas were clean and inviting and my treatment also included the steam shower afterwards which was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend this spa as well as Courtney. I will definitely be going back!

Salon does not keep appointments and cancels last minute. Today was the third time that my scheduled appointment at this location was cancelled within hours of the appointment time. Used to enjoy going to this location but never again! When i schedule and confirm an appointment u expect that it be kept or cancelled within a reasonable time frame.

I have been a loyal par exsalonce customer for the last 5 years. I used to live in the North Kansas City and the parlor at zona rosa location was really good. The staff was great and really cared about the quality of services. the overland park location is not the same. They lack in the basic customer care sensibilities like smiling and asking about the service. I had a lot of services done there in the last 2 years and have been disappointed with most of them. My last service was for a hair appointment- root touch up with highlights. The touch up faded away in a week. I called and someone said that I can come and they will take a look at it but then when I went there they said that I will be charged for the full service again! They didn't even care to give me a discounted price or anything and didn't even apologize or acknowledge that the service wasn't done properly. I'm not going back again.

One star because I went in to use a $50 gift card and told it was expired. I thought the law changed so they never expired but fine print on back says after 5 years. I didn't live close and just wasn't convenient. So beware in buying gift cards!! Bad business.

Beware of level of stylist you choose. I have always felt this was a high end salon, so when I got scheduled with a newer stylist, I felt comfortable. I walked out after 3.5 hours with one color highlight and barely a haircut. My hair is still crispy fried 2 months later, I had another stylist at another salon tell me I am just going to have to grow it out and it is beyond repair. I don't want to mention the stylist's name, because hopefully she will improve over time, but no more practicing on my hair.

I will NEVER go back to Par Exsalonce in Overland Park . The manager was very curt and lacked compassion or sympathy . They would not honor my gift card that had a substantial amount on it due to the fact that it was expired . The card was purchased right before Covid happened and I was unable to get back to use it until now . The manager was happy for me to review them on yelp so obviously she was not concerned with keeping this costumer.

My appointment was cancelled because of an error on the salon's behalf. Someone took my phone number down incorrectly (Lyn?) last Thursday, and during the confirmation calls on Monday they canceled my Tuesday [aug 2 at 1:00] appointment. My first question is what software system are you using? I walked in, my time scheduled off and my roots needing help, for my 1:00 balayage with Alyssa, and surprise, I don't have an appointment.Holly came from the office, explained the situation, and I understand mistakes happen...but I was a referral and a new client to your team. This is your first impression. Capturing phone and email addresses correctly should be a baseline. Explaining it can't be rectified because it's your busy season is hurtful to me, quite disrespectful of my time and money. An offer of 15 percent off is nearly condescending. I've never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from aveda, nor been in this situation from a salon, period. I've had my hair done professionally for nearly 20 years.
