Nice little spot to grab lunch, and relax. The restaurant was very clean, and the environment pleasant. Our waitress was very friendly and patient answering our questions. Their menu is not huge, bit still provides a good selection. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I love supporting local businesses, and will gladly come back again when in this area.

Food is excellent! Staff is friendly and helpful. Covid has cut back hours, menu and service but they still go out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend.

We were traveling in Missouri and stopped in for lunch on the weekend. The banner said, "WE ARE OPEN." The restaurant has been recently remodeled and was charming ,clean, and nicely decorated. Weekends had a buffet which was down home Missouri cooking with fried chicken, meatloaf, casseroles, vegetables and a great salad bar! Often the term home style means canned vegetables and greasy fried food. This is not the case with Pappy's. We could have made the salad bar our meal. It had a wide variety of choices. I have to admit the home made chicken salad was over the top. My wife wished we had the recipe. The fried chicken was crispy, moist and tender. We were too full to eat the fresh deserts.

Went out on birthday and wanted a steak. So we stopped there since it was close. Local paper said buffet on Saturday night which it was. Buffet was closed. Decided to eat steak and ordered it med rare. Well was really surprised when order came to table was chicken fried steak .. WTH Was charged price of beef steak and it was not good had no flavor. But how do you get chicken fried steak out of steak medium rare? Then to top it off 6 hrs later me and person with me was sick with diahreah bad for 8 hrs. Needless to say we will never step foot on property again. Plus way over priced for what we got. Very unhappy and unpleased customer.

Have been eating here almost daily. For the most part good. I did feel like they need to check their salad bar a littleMore often. Would like to see their soups changed daily.

Went after a game in El Dorado Springs. Had the chicken alfredo. It was WONDERFUL!!! The staff was friendly and believe it was one of the owners that readily answered my friend's questions about the place. Only knocked a star as friend and I split a dessert and it was underwhelming - the lemon cake tasted like it has been frozen. However highly recommend the alfredo! Other dishes I saw served to others also looked really good (except my friends liver, but I just don't like liver) -Like the French dip was huge. I'll be returning!
