This is such a great farmer's market! The produce be producing from the farms that come. I'm always in awe of how they look. I see you gorgeous eggplants and ripe tomatoes. I've gone a few times and it's always great to just walk around and who's vending and what. There are also a ton of food vendors to offset all the fresh fruit and vegetables meaning CARBS! Donuts, bagels, bread, tacos, pasta. You name the carb, they've got. Ha. There are also flowers, honey, spices, and just up and coming local business trying to showcase what they've got. It's such a great asset for the community and it's always a delight to visit. It definitely gets crowded but that means it is doing well because people know what's up and how the quality of it is. Happy shopping and remember: Don't deny, satisfy!

Farmers market in Downtown OP is arguably the best and busiest around. It's always lively with diverse offerings including coffee, fresh produce, bagels, desserts, bread, donuts, breakfast options from a taqueria, and farm-raised meats.Vendors are always welcoming and super friendly. Some of my favorite vendors are:- Slow Rise Donuts- Fox & Bull Bakery- Taqueria (for breakfast burritos)- Parisi Coffee (not inside the market, but nearby)Despite the market's popularity, parking is generally not a problem, even on busy Saturdays. Plenty of street parking is available both at the market and in downtown Overland Park.I'm looking forward to exploring more vendors on future visits.

One of my favorite farmers market to visit in the KC area! The Overland Park has so many awesome vendors to shop from, especially the famous Slow Rise donuts! Love how spacious it is and there's always plenty of parking. After the farmers marketvisit, you can also check local shops/restaurants near by!

Best farmer's market other than one I visited in Santa Barbara when I was there. I go at least twice a month. I love that they have all kinds of produce, as well as other food items. Plans. Coffee. Cheese. Bagels. Donuts. Breakfast burritos. They have it all. The vendors are mostly all super friendly too! It's a little cramped because we have so many vendors and not enough space, but hopefully that changes soon. You have to try Slow Rise & Luca Bagel.

One of my favorite ways to start a weekend is by visiting a farmer's market, or just any open-air market, and the OP Farmer's Market never disappoints. Whether it is fresh produce in season (think peaches or sweet corn) or local specialties, there is something for everyone. What started as a small endeavor has grown over the 40 years it has been going, recently winning the America's Farmland Trust contest as one of the *best* farmers markets in the country!Parking is somewhat of a free-for-all, but I have never walked more than a 1/4 mile from parking to market. By the time I usually roll up on Saturday, the market is bubbling with activity as the action starts at 7:30 each Saturday from April through September. Luca's Bagels, Yoli Tortilleria, and many other vendors sell their goodies while farmers from all reaches of the area bring what's in season, from early greens to September corn & maters. You can use cash or some booths are ready for cards/electronic payment, or you can buy/gift market tokens.Only drawback is that it's a no dogs/pets allowed (service animals are allowed). I get it, health department and whatever, but I'm a doggo voyeur and I love friendly pups on leashes. The environment probably is better without, but still, pets are social family glue and I love getting mine out - I'll just leave her home when I visit the OP Farmers Market!Often ;)

There's a reason the Downtown OP Farmer's Market was ranked #1 in a national poll... it is really that great! This review will only be about the market, not the vendors, as they deserve their own reviews. We have never had a poor experience with any though! You should be able to find parking within a few blocks of the market. It always pays to get there early in case you're interested in some of the more popular goods. Dogs are not allowed in the vendor areas but there is a nice shaded entrance area where they can hang out with you and listen to some of the live music. Depending on the time of year, you can find fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, soaps, caramels, cheese and meats, handmade goods, plants and herbs for your gardens, mushrooms, baked goods, food trucks, coffee, fresh flowers and more! Don't hesitate to buy something you see one week, there are some "regulars" but not all of the vendors are the same each week. We drop off and pick up a composting bucket there from Compost Collective KC. Restrooms are fairly well maintained and clean, although only two stalls in the women's. It is nice to have a building and not just portables. They also have two informations booths to answer questions you might have about the market. The people working there are a big reason things run smoothly.

Such a fun time! We went on a Saturday morning. It was a little hard to find parking but not horrible if you are willing to walk. So many amazing food vendors as well as flowers. My son specifically loved getting a donut

Decided to check this place as it rank as #1 Farmers Market in the nation. What a great place to support small own business and local farmers. While we didn't buy anything, we tried Taco Naco KC for food. Highly recommend.

This is a great farmer's market in Kansas. I started coming here several years ago and every year is different for how often I try to make it to the farmer's market. I like getting my watermelon from here because they are so sweet and taste better than any grocery store watermelon. The seasonal vegetables and fruit are great to get and it's helped me recognize which ones are actually in season. Especially when I go to grocery stores now. I've noticed throughout the years that the farmer's market has gotten increasingly crowded. Especially around the 10-11am. That has made me attempt to come here earlier if I'm wanting something. But it is also weather dependent on how many people choose to come out too.All the vendors have been nice and it's good to see how passionate they are about the items they sell. It's interesting the tomatoes can taste different from vendor to vendor depending on the soil I've noticed. Each vendor contributes something to the farmer's market and I like how they have assigned them in the right place to not make you keep walking to see the same stuff vendor after vendor. The farmer's market is available on Saturdays and Wednesdays. I bet the Wednesday crowd is a lot different than the Saturday crowd. This is a great place to bring your children and make memories!

Lovely farmer's market next to downtown Overland Park! Easy parking on the street and in the structure. Fantastic selection to produce, baked goods, beverages, food, and artisan goods. Loved the blueberry lemonade kombucha from Tea Biotics-- just $3 for 16 oz. Great atmosphere and variety too. Recommended :)
