Our flight out of KC got cancelled due to winter storm Blair. Our room was very clean and pristine. It was a very nice king suite. The breakfast choices were abundant and the staff tending the breakfast bar did an excellent job. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The entire property is well maintained and clean. All needs were met. I would definitely recommend Orangewood Inn & Suites!

First time at Orangewood Inn and Suites, but not the last. After a terrible stay at a Days Inn and Suites, it was comparable to a cave versus a high class hotel, but economy style. Orangewood was spotless , well managed, an enjoyable stay with all its amenities. I highly recommend a stay here in Kansas Ci

This is a very clean hotel that meets all your needs. The lobby is very clean, nicely decorated, staff are friendly and cordial and thoughtful, there's a free shuttle that even operated at 1:30am from MCI Kansas City airport, there's free breakfast from 6am to 9am, free WiFi with code, a smart TV, a very clean glass door shower stall, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, a microwave, a fridge, coffee maker w coffee, 2 free bottles of water, plenty of charging stations for 110v adaptors as well as USB ports, and plenty of clean towels. The carpet has no odor, there was no residue of smokers, and I felt free to go barefoot. I called for shuttle pickup from the airport and someone answered asap and they were already at the airport within minutes (this hotel is 2 miles from the airport). You can book the free shuttle back to the airport with the concierge staff. I have to say that this hotel made me very content and happy bc I didn't lack anything and felt so amazing that it was super clean (even cleaner than some 3-4 star hotels). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone bc for an average price of $80/night, I would prefer this over some brand name expensive hotels bc the quality of this hotel is remarkable.

This is a great hotel near the Kansas City airport! The location is great. The service was great and the room is super clean. I like how they have soap dispensers instead of giving you a bottle or bar of soap. Parking is gated and it felt safe. Great place to stay in Kc! I'll be back when I'm in town again!

I would not recommend. The beds are uncomfortable. They attempt to force people to eat downstairs. All my life I've never had an issue eating in my room. While preparing my plate I WATCHED a male guest take his plate back to his room off the side of the breakfast area. NOONE said anything to him. However when I was ready to leave. It was attempted to control me. **As we were leaving a couple and a housekeeper came out the elevator. The couple each had breakfast food. Said excuse me but did the front desk lady yell at you for taking that out of the breakfast area up here? They each said no even the housekeeper looked confused as to why I had been yelled after but now three other people weren't.**Update corporate policy on the website if thats your stance as it is listed no where showing that it is not a corporate policy but the particular person workings policy. The good notes: adequate parking it looks like. The building looks nice. It is convenient to gas stations, a few restaurants, and of course the airport. I don't know that there is a rewards program as it doesn't seem to be connected to any of them like Marriott, Hilton, or Wyndham. If its the only option I guess but certainly not the best first impression.

Poor customer service. Overcharges on my card and charges that didn't make sense. False promises from hotel. Difficult to deal with in clearing up incorrect items. Would 100% not recommend. Rude owners. After all of the hassle I've had dealing with them, I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. Plenty of other reputable hotels near the airport to stay at. Stay away!

Melanie who checked us in was absolutely combative and argumentative about horrible service place was under construction no place to park because they sell your parking spots to the airport people plan on paying an extra 10 bucks to park at your hotel. They also want you to give them their major credit card so they can charge your credit card on top of your check-in fees ridiculous it took us 30 minutes to check in they already ran our card so here we are out money to actually cancel our reservation and go open up a new one at a different hotel they tie up your money for like 5 to 10 days. Maelyn, correction she was the one that checked us in maylene. She needs to be fired she sucks.

Beware! They swipe your credit card to place the charge and then make a copy of it on the same machine they copy your drivers license. I questioned this, and was told it is their policy and if I don't like it, I could leave! When I tried to ask what they were doing with my personal data, they continued to tell me I could leave instead of being up front with what they were doing with my information. A copy of your credit card is never needed and is bad policy!!! I watched them check in another customer and they did the same thing. How I am the first person to notice this is beyond me. This company needs to change their policy and how people are okay with this is beyond me.

I made a reservation through Expedia and went to check in about 5pm. I was told they will not check me in due to me being a local resident. My email address was on file and the hotel could have contacted me before I wasted my time, gas, and money booking here. I've stayed here before and never had an issue when checking in. All of a sudden there has been a policy change supposedly and I believe I was not allowed to check in because I am a black woman. I was not notified by email, or by phone. I also received a confirmation email and it showed I didn't need to call to re-confirm my reservation because it was already confirmed so I didn't call like I usually do and just came up there. The manager Angie or Jess (not sure which one I spoke with because manager gave two different names) stated that this is a new policy and due to my drivers license showing a KC address they won't check me in. I did advise I'm not a KC resident and was actually in process of moving. The address shown was actually my old mailing address. I am no longer a local resident and been in the process of moving about a hour out from Kansas City. I was here for work and visiting family. I asked for corporate information and manager stated this company is locally owned and there is no corporate. She refused to give me any information of someone above her and she was very rude. I need to speak with someone about this treatment I received upon checking in which seemed nothing less than discrimination. I will be reaching out to other agencies to file a complaint for discrimination and I'll be posting my review on social media sites and other review sites once I have the time to do so in this next upcoming week. I will be sure to expose this hotel for the mistreatment I received. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable and everyone will know how this hotel mistreat people. A phone call or a email is not too much to ask for when someone has a reservation and won't be allowed to check in. The excuse is that my address was not on file so they didn't know I was a local resident but I've stayed there before with no issues and a local Kansas City address on file. Last time I stayed, there was black workers at the front desk so I can only assume I was not mistreated at that time due to black staff working there at the time I checked in. It was pouring down rain and a severe storm had begun and I was turned away despite all this. This is a horrible place to stay and if you want a for sure stay with no hiccups, book elsewhere. I ended up at FourPoint by Sheraton right next door to this hotel and I had a great night stay. Staff was very pleasant at the FourPoint Sheraton Hotel right next door. Book anywhere but Orangewood Inn & Suites! They are horrible. Customer service is horrible. Read all the reviews and you'll see other people have had similar experiences with reservation being canceled and not being allowed to check in for some reason.
