After passing by this place for years, I decided to stop in. The line was long but quick (there is also two counters you can order from). The drinks: lattes were great, on the sweeter side but very solid and the large was large The food: the burritos were mostly egg, not much other stuff on the inside. I'm not usually a fan of the home fries either but the were delicious. After ordering it took about 45 minutes to get our food which was a long wait for something so mediocre. Staff were very friendly though.

We had a great time here we got a nice muffin got some coffee. It was around Halloween. They had our Halloween decorations up, which we thought was awesome. Because Halloween is our favorite holiday and it was great to see. Prices were good. Food was good.

The place was a great Pet-Friendly space to hangout with my little dog, have a bite to eat and get some work done on a Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for not only being pet-friendly but being friendly to my pet!The food was good and the space allowed for privacy while I was working remotely. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I love a caramel anything! So I was anxious to try this on a nice Sunday morning. It was not what I had in mind but it sufficed. Not sure if it was the coffee or combination - I did substitute with almond milk but that's never been a bad choice.

A solid option when in the River Market since Opera House is a restaurant, bakery, coffee shop and roaster, and a bar. I've stopped in a few times for coffee over the years, but lately I've been going for biscuits and gravy. Their B&G is very meaty, plentiful and covering a great biscuit.. much better than the diner a block to the northeast. A little something for everyone in a historic structure right next to the Streetcar stop.

This is a cute place that was MUCH bigger than I realized. There are four different "counters" which is a little confusing and inconvenient, but the lines moved very quickly. Unfortunately the food didn't really measure up- the Bacon Bravo Burrito hardly had any bacon, the Chorizo Fiesta Burrito hardly had any chorizo and the eggs were not at all seasoned and were completely bland. It was also over a 30-minute wait (and it was not very busy) and over $30 for the two burritos. The portions were large and they had the best breakfast potatoes that I've ever had (nice and crispy!) but I was let down overall. The Bakery items looked fantastic and the coffee was pretty good, and combined with it being a really nice space I will give it another try... just not for breakfast.

Now honestly, I frequent Opera House for a few reasons, one being it's convenient to walk to (but don't you dare try to go on a weekend unless you want to wait an ungodly amount of time) and another one being their fresh pressed juices. Which, for some reason, are slightly hard to come by in Kansas City, there's a few but not enough in my opinion. I'm still confused by this since we are a "health focused enough" city, but once you find a freshly squeezed juice, be ready to hand over $10 for it. Opera House is no exception, with the juice being priced at 8.19 and only offered in one size. However, this is cheaper than Protein House, the closest other option to find a juice bar and also less expensive than the queen of juice herself Ruby Jeans, which isn't located downtown. So, I count on Opera House for quality fresh juices throughout the week and definitely have my favorites. Those being the aptly named Red Juice, which contains earthy beets balanced out with sweet red apples and a newer find, The Creamsickle, which is sweet and orange from the addition of sweet potatoes (hello fiber). Also, if you're a ginger girlie (or boy), then the Sweet Ginger is delicious without being too spicy. Now...notice this review is for juices alone and says nothing about the food- I'll have to touch on tha later because I haven't ordered anything other than a pastry from here in years. I prefer to sip from straws the offerings of Opera House but, I'll come back to chew soon enough!

Made a visit to the River Market and dropped by the Opera House Coffee establishment to grab a quick bite and some coffee. The Americano was excellent and VERY hot which is how I prefer my coffee. The restaurant/bar is divided into different sections with one for food, a coffee bar and a full alcohol bar. It's also reported to be haunted. Service and interior were both good and unique with the multi concept restaurant with a bar and a coffee bar. Will be back.

We tried to order ahead, but it was closed. Was a little confused since you could've ordered on Grub Hub. We ordered the food to go. Staff was fine. We ordered drinks from the coffee shop and it was $20 before tip for a juice, a smoothie and a cinnamon roll. It was a little off putting that the juice was 16oz was more expensive than the smoothie with nearly the same ingredients. The smoothie was good and I appreciated they allowed you to switch flavors. The Italian sandwich was good, the bread was a bit tough and the meat was cut thick. The sweet potatoes fries were soft but tasted good! Overall, fine experience, nice location min the city market.

As a visitor, we were a bit confused on the concept. You must visit each place inside (the coffee shop, bar, grill, and bakery) in order to create the meal you'd like. It's a serve yourself kind of concept, and the food was nothing special. You get a number for your order that you take to your table. We didn't have to wait too long, but our eggs were cold and the food was just mediocre. As for ambience, it felt cold & disconnected. Our bartender was nice though!
