Omo Japanese Ramen & Sushi

Early dinner on a sat so got seated immediately. They have a variety of beers, wine, sake & soja but disappointed that not cocktail or mixed drink options. We started with crab Rangoon (4) & pork steamed Goyta. Loved both appetizers & wished we didn't have to share the 4 Rangoons. We got 3 of the speciality rolls. All did not warrant any soy sauce. Each had some level of spice. The rolls are larger than other restaurants & the price reflects it($14-$16). Don't let this deter you from eating here & enjoying their extraordinary sushi rolls.

Went to Omo for a girl's night! The ambiance was nice, there was a cute flower wall. The service was extremely fast -- within a few minutes of ordering, food was already being brought to us. We split the crab rangoons and I got the tempura california roll. It was really good but HUGE, so be prepared to take big bites! Overall we had a good experience and will probably come again.

The wait staff is incredibly friendly! The sushi rolls were very good and the ramen is delicious! We also had a large bottle of sake that was good but probably could've gotten a small. The one complaint is that they don't serve nigiri which is a bummer. But everything tasted great!

Food: we ordered the Firecracker roll and spicy tonkatsu ramen. The ramen was a bit on the sweeter side and we wished it was spicier. Service: inattentive.Ambiance: music was loud and distracting

Quick and friendly service. The eggrolls are flavorful and unique. Decent selection in sushi and the size of rolls you get are great for price. My only recommendation is stick to sushi...the ramen is extremely bland and the meat included in the ramen is NOT pork belly as advertised. The egg is not a traditional seasoned ramen egg, it is plain boiled & the broth unfortunately tasted like the juice from canned corn. But the sushi was good. The kamikaze roll was a 10/10.

Omo is one of our favorite spots in Kansas City to get ramen! You can find this ramen & sushi restaurant off of Ward Parkway, not too far from the waldo neighborhood and the AMC Parkway Center. Our table always starts with steamed dumplings and the rangoons. We also like to start with the ginger house salad and the miso soup. My favorite sushi roll at Omo is the mango shrimp tempura. The main attraction at OMO Ramen is the creamy and delicious ramen bowls loaded with fresh ingredients. My "go-to" ramen bowl is the OMO Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen topped with pork belly, a seasoned egg, corn kernels, bean sprouts, and scallions. If you are looking for delicious sushi and ramen in the Kansas City area, OMO Ramen is the spot to check out!

Don't waste your money!1. The Sushi rolls are poorly rolled: falling apart and coming totally unraveled while attempting to pick up, 2. The pork Romain "menu indicates pork belly Romain.. instead it's some cheap over cooked thinly sliced pork piece, floating in tasteless broth. I couldn't get out of there quick enough!

Sooooo Delicious!!! I had a great dinner experience here from start to finish. Our waitress was the sweetest! She was very attentive. The hot sake was very good and very reasonably priced. I got the large and split it with one other person. I tried the crab Rangoon as an appetizer and they did not disappoint. They were in a thinner paper and tasted super fresh and light. The ramen was so good that I am already craving it again now. It was not as spicy as I wanted but it was very flavorful. The sushi was some of the best I have ever had! The kc roll in particular made me want to order some to go for later. The boba made a very good desert as well. The hanging flowers were super cute and broke up the room well. Overall it was great experience and I wish I could go back again tomorrow!

Probably the best ramen I've had in Kansas City!! I normally get miso based ramen but decided to try their Tonkotsu ramen, and man was I not disappointed! It had everything I could want in my ramen - delicious creamy broth, thick noodles, crunchy bean sprouts and a hard boiled egg. We decided to try a roll and their crab Rangoon. The mango roll was delicious! The mango mixed with the tempura shrimp was perfection! As for the crab Rangoon, I really liked how the breading was on the thinner side and there was more cream in the middle. Both are excellent choices!The restaurant was very well kept and the service was great. The server was awesome about checking our drinks and making sure we had everything we needed.This is a must try place and I will definitely be back!!
