Amazing meal this week @ofcoursekc If you have not been you need to get there!!! @swethanewcomb and her team are doing great things. The flavors in their dishes are new and different combinations. The best example is the Shrimp Moilee Pasta with black cardamom. (Not pictured because my pic didn't do this dish justice). Black cardamon is amazing, but didn't know it until this dish. The menu changes all the time, right now you need to get the Aloo Kulcha, Shrimp pasta, egg toast, and the lamb chops.

I had a lovely evening at Of Course! We tried just about everything! I had the Have a Cigar cocktail, which was delicious. For food, we had: winter Caesar salad, egg curry + toast, aloo kulcha, smash burger + peri peri fries, goan braised short ribs, grilled Australian lamb chops and lastly the carrot cheesecake for dessert. The appetizers were the best, as they had the strongest Indian flare... which was what I was most excited for. Our server was lovely, very down to earth and attentive. The ambience was warm and not too loud, so we could have nice conversation with our group of 8. I'd try Of Course again, but would likely focus on the stronger focused Indian dishes.

I truly wanted to love this restaurant, and it saddens me to give it a three-star rating. We visited as a party of four--two adults and two children--and while the concept of an Indian fusion restaurant is intriguing, there were some significant missteps in execution, especially in terms of accommodating families. Before our reservation, I had requested a highchair for my three-year-old. However, just five minutes prior to our arrival, the restaurant called to inform us they don't have highchairs or booster seats. While we made do with our child sitting in the booth, it became clear upon arrival that this is not a family-friendly establishment. There were no plastic cups, no kid-friendly menu options, and no effort to cater to young diners.I've dined at Michelin-starred restaurants that made accommodations for children, even offering simple options like buttered noodles or mac and cheese. This restaurant, however, doesn't seem interested in families, despite being located in one of the largest residential suburbs of Kansas City. If children aren't welcome, that's a fair choice for the business, but it should be clearly communicated on the website. As for the menu, I was surprised by the lack of basic condiments such as regular ketchup or ranch, even though the menu includes items like burgers and fries. While the curry ketchup is a creative touch, customers ordering a burger might still expect the option of classic American ketchup.Moving to the adult meals, the overall experience was a mixed bag. The Parmesan-crusted chicken breast I ordered was beautifully presented but fell short in flavor and texture--it was extremely dry and lacked seasoning. At this price point, properly cooked chicken should be a given. My wife's short ribs, on the other hand, were much better, offering a flavorful and well-balanced fusion of Indian spices. The highlight of our meal, without question, was the dessert. The mango kulfi topped with crushed cardamom was an absolute standout--perfectly creamy and flavorful. The chocolate torte was equally delightful, showcasing rich flavors and an impeccable finish. While the concept of Indian fusion is appealing, the execution--both in terms of food and customer experience--could use some refinement. For now, it feels like a restaurant that is still finding its footing.

My wife took me here for my birthday and it was the perfect way to kick off the birthday weekend. Our first time dining here, we were impressed with the ambience, the service, and the tantalizing menu options. Once I tried my cocktail and our first dish, I knew we were in for a treat and that we would definitely need to return to try more of the menu. The duck confit tostada was definitely our favorite. This was a great experience!

I had planned to have a girl's night here to get some drinks with an appetizer. We had the Ahi Tuna + Chips which was not much to share. It was more like a small bite for one. The drinks were good and our waitress was very friendly and recommended us our drinks based on what flavors we typically like. We were told that the menu often changes and that most of the items were tasty and couldn't go wrong with any. The ahi tuna had good flavor but it was not much of an appetizer. I wish our waitress told us that this was not an item to share since it really wasn't that much food. Luckily we snacked on the chips and enjoyed our drinks. Given the prices of the food and drinks, I was not willing to spend more money on either so we went to another place to have more appetizers and drinks later that night. I would recommend it for special occasions or if money doesn't matter to you.

Second time at Of Course didn't disappoint! We tried some items off the restaurant week menu and a few things from the regular menu. Our fav dishes were the egg curry toast, kebabs (chicken and shrimp), crusted chicken with tandoori gravy, and charred cabbage. The braised short rib was also amazing. The dishes here are so unique, and we loved how much the menu changed from our last visit - always something new to try.

Grabbed dinner during restaurant week at Of Course and it was incredible! Such an unassuming spot right next to a GNC! It is a pretty small place, I'd definitely recommend a reservation. We were seated quickly and service was attentive. Everything was consumed was 10/10. I got the savage garden and my husband got the have a cigar to drink. Both were balance and flavorful. I got food off the restaurant week menu - malai kofti - fried potato balls in an Indian spiced tomato sauce, short rib, and mango kulfi cheesecake. My husband got the burger and peri peri fries. I would order everything again, but also want to try the entire menu.

I think this place is very innovative and an awesome addition for creative foods in KC! Creative fusion of upscale Indian with mixtures of various ingredients of American and other Asian cuisines. Its menu is organized from smaller plates to larger main dishes. We tried several, and I would say overall they were all pretty tasty and better shared! I think my least favorite was probably the short rib dish. I thought it fell short in taste compared to everything else. My favorite was the egg curry + toast. Flavor BOMB. Plus the chili crema was . We also go the scallops, ahi tuna + chips, lamb hummus, smash burger, cocktails and chai apple tart. Plus pick up some matches when you leave hehe.

Unfortunately for my husband and I, we did not enjoy our experience at Of Course last night. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were told that the CONFIRMED reservation we had did not show up in the system and they would not honor it. I showed the confirmation email, reminder, etc to no avail. It started our night poorly. We grabbed a couple of seats at the bar and noticed other couples had the same issue but somehow the restaurant accommodated. No check ins for us to see how we are doing, no attempt to set things right. The food was great (crab dip, egg curry toast, ribeye). Drink was good but as the night went on you could tell the kitchen was backed up and even service at the bar declined. We are typically forgiving diners and generous tippers. Nothing aligned during our time here and unfortunately we would neither recommend for a special night nor likely go back to visit. Would not give this place any more of our money.

Put this restaurant on your must visit list! Stopped in Saturday night for dinner and drinks and snagged a few seats at the bar. We split a bottle of Malbec, but I will definitely try some of the creative cocktails next time. Small plates encourage sharing and we ordered the Aloo Kulcha, Shrimp Moilee Pasta, and Duck Confit Toast - all were fantastic! Loved the innovating combination of South Asian flavors with new American, the food is something fresh and different, executed well. Also enjoyed chatting with the friendly bartenders, atmosphere is fancy but very comfortable and warm.
