Nigro's Western Store

Confession. I am a card-carryin', swimmin' hole swimmin', farm-raised, barefoot-dwellin', gravel-road traversin' country girl. I was raised rurally, had a pony, we grew a garden bigger than most urban dwellers' yards. But I only took the stereotype so far. I don' t shoot, I never four-wheel, I don't own a pickup, and I most assuredly have never worn western wear (even when riding my pony). That said, I found myself in need of standard country attire of the embroidered, pearl snap variety for some fine arts costuming. Naturally, Nigro's was the best bet. I cruised down Merriam Lane one Saturday morning and got there when they opened, walked in, was hit by the scent of leather...Jackpot! A HUGE selection of clothing, and totally wearable, at that. No need to be Roy Rogers, this stuff is stylin'. I picked up the lovely light blue plaid button-up with decorative stitching and shiny snaps that I came for, but also snagged a hottie black laced-trimmed dress...very modern country...and some sweet silver jewelry with a nice vintage southwest flair. The staff was so nice and accommodating, spending time to really help me find what I needed in a way that doesn't happen anymore in the age of chain clothing stores. Prices aren't discount, by any means, but the merchandise is of quality, and there are some deals to be had. If you are looking to buy boots, be prepared to put down some coin, but they're really nice boots. This is a really nice place, it's got nice KCK flavor, the people who work there are cool, and I just might change up my personal style to shop there more often.

By far the best western store in the KC area. Had a guy help me with picking out a new hat. They had thin selection in my size but he refused to give up. Found what I wanted. My wife found some awesome blouses. Turns the guy who was helping me was the owner. This place is top notch. Price was on point to. I'll likely never go anywhere else again.

Went in to stretch a pair of boots that I've had for almost a decade. A teenager helped me the first day and didn't even have me try them on, went in the next day to pick them up, tried them on and they didn't fit, so the owner said now that he knows where I need them stretched he will need them for another 24 hours, no problem. Went in the 3rd day to pick them up and he said "have you ever been able to put those on?" Seemed pretty fat shamey to me. I won't be back and won't recommend.

So glad a colleague recommended this place. I've never bought a pair of cowgirl boots before, they're pricey and I've got big calves. The selection was fantastic and the service was wonderful. Very kind and fun folks and they helped me pick a great pair of boots I can't wait to wear. The bonus is that this is a family-owned business.

i love this store. i've been here two times while i was visiting , going a 3rd today. they're always very sweet and super helpful. the man and woman who usually work the cashier are the loveliest people!! they have a huge selection of pearl snaps, jeans, boots, etc! a big plus is that their carhartt is ALWAYS on sale! would definitely recommend this store!

Authentic western wear and helpful staff. I'm not a cow girl but they had some good choices for theme golf outing. Appreciate the years of service for our city.

What can I say about this place and all of their employees!!!! I love this place. They make you feel like family. I love their boot selection. I have wide calves, but that does not stop me from getting the boots I want. LD is the boot stretching king! Everyone is so helpful and friendly! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Hands down best experience I've had buying boots. David went above and beyond to accommodate my every need. Cannot emphasize how amazing the whole experience was! Will only be buying from David and family from here on out.

Bought a new pair of Anderson Bean boots a couple of weeks ago & began to notice a growing squeak when I walked in them. Not only did they let me exchange them without question, they also educated me on why the boots began to do that in the first place.

everything about service is abs horrible very rude owners and staff!!!..... went to return some pant I tried on and they said I could exchange after they did not fit no store credit then proceeded to tell illegal to take them back!!!!... will never be going there again anyone in need of 36 -34 wranglers over priced at 70 after 20% discount but I'll sell them for 40 but no exchanges!!
