It has been good up to tonight. Got the fish and chicken combo. The fish was hot and good but the chicken was barely warm and old. I'm disappointed. Service sucked and no other people in restaurant. Got forgotten by waitress. Busy trying to get some by male cooking. Entirely negative experience. Won't be back.

Great food and friendly efficient service. I'm from the Kansas City area and have eaten here several times while visiting my family. Fried chicken prepared to perfection and real country cured ham. The fried fish and fries are also delicious. The gravy is really homemade and scrumptious. Love this place and definitely a Jefferson City destination. Thanks again and I'll definitely be back.

Homestyle fried chicken and comfort food sides. I loved the big family restaurant atmosphere. Would love to come back.

This is a family owned, family oriented diner at the Jefferson City airport. Nothing fancy--just basic homestyle comfort food at a reasonable price with friendly service. Fried chicken seems to be their specialty from reading other reviews. The one in our party that had it enjoyed it. Others enjoyed their meals as much. Th airport is not large and is right outside Nick's windows.

What a great place for some honest-to-goodness homestyle food!We flew in for lunch and (unfortunately) were in enough of a bind on time that we didn't even look at the menus. One of the cooks (possibly the manager) seated us and we asked what would be fast. He suggested a couple of 2-piece chicken plates. He said they would come with mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, cole slaw, apple sauce and bread. No discussion about price.I'm pretty sure the food arrived in less than 5 minutes and was piping hot. The mashed potatoes were from scratch, the gravy was thick and slightly peppery, the green beans were typical (ditto for the slaw) but it was the chicken that stole the show. Hot, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside (I somehow wound up with two breasts) and perfectly seasoned. Had I grown up in the south with a grandma who fried chicken in a cast-iron skillet this is how I believe it would have tasted. Yum!They had desserts available too but zero interest between me and my 130-pound companion. The total bill including tip was a hair over $11 each. We hustled back to the plane that we parked on the ramp about 100' away and were airborne within ten minutes of leaving the restaurant. Can't wait to get back here again and see what else they have cooking.

When we travel, my husband and I like to find a local restaurant to eat. We found a gem in Nick's family restaurant! If you are in the Jefferson area, this is a must eat! We had the Chicken and Fish combo and the Tenderloin meal. Both were amazing!

Absolute best fried chicken dinner I've had eating out. Very fast and courteous service

Great chicken and all the fixings. Have been going to NICKS for 50 years. A real credit to his father. Unlike his brother Steve. Steves now sucks. Dirty, falling apart and bad greasy food. So sad.

What a find! Nice small town restaurant! Fried chicken is juicy and flavorful. Served HOT so you know it's all fresh! Only downside there's no sides selection. Plate comes standard with mash potato with white gravy, green beans and coleslaw. Family style dinner is also available. WOW! Thanks for a great meal and experience on a Sunday afternoon.

Well, in our atea long time family go to restaurant. I went there for lunch with friends. Chicken great. Cole slaw great. Potatoes ok, not enough gravy and canned beans blah. I got a take away meal for 2 pieces of white meat chicken. Minuscule breast and withered wing. Tiny amount of their best side-cole slaw. Skip this place.
