Nguyen Pho&Grill

We had lunch and our group had a little bit of everything. The fried rice, lemongrass chicken and pho were all tasty. They have Vietnamese coffee and boba if that's your thing, too. The service was mid - nothing special but we did get our food quickly.

Once walking in, there was plenty of seating and we were quickly helped. Once seated we were helped immediately and drinks were brought out. I got the bun Bo hue. It was lacking a bit of the lemongrass flavor I'm used to, but it was still delicious on a cold day. There were beautiful artworks and the noise level was not too high for a family friendly restaurant!

Finding the perfect Pho place in the Midwest is hard. Nguyen Pho & Grill isn't "perfect", however, it's somewhat close to home. The broth wasn't salty & my recent encounters at the Pho places here..the broth wasn't salty extremely salty and no where near what Pho broth should've been. Nguyen Pho & Grill's broth was almost point on, I feel as if they should've left the broth marinate a couple more hours with..mainly the star anises, we would maybe have the perfect broth. Service was quick and the food came out even quicker. They sure do get busy here. With the foot traffic, restaurants in a good area. Only thing I didn't like is the parking. Pay to park per hour (street parking).

Really great pho place in River Market. My friend brought me here because this was one of her favorites when she lived nearby. The broth is so tasty here and they give you plenty of noodles in both the regular and large sizes. The veg always looks fresh, but you don't have to add any in to your bowl if you don't want, because they bring it out separately. Good meat as well, flavorful and a wonderful texture. We usually sit in the booths which are plenty spacious and then you can pay at the counter after eating your meal. They've always gotten my order correct and out in a timely manner. Would recommend!

We were looking for some Pho on a Monday and found it. We had actually planned to go somewhere else but found out the hard way they were closed on Mondays but Nguyen Pho and Grill was open and we had a great experience. They are located in downtown KS city MO, there is affordable street parking right by the restaurant and if you are traveling by streetcar, they have a stop right by the restaurant. When we walked in we were greeted and seated quickly. They were pretty busy because it was lunch time but they are equipped to seat a decent amount of folks and the food comes out quickly. If you are looking for Pho, this is the place to come because they have a large variety to use from. As a person who is on a pescatarian diet and has a shellfish allergy, I loved that they offer vegetarian options from their appetizers to their Pho. I got there veggie egg rolls and they were so tasty, I think they had sesame seed oil in them. My family got wontons and rangoons. The wontons had pork but I ate the rangoons, they just had cream cheese. When my pho came out I was so impressed it was packed full with veggies and noodles. Even though it was a veggie broth it was still tasty and the fixings, sriracha and fish sauce just heightened the flavor. I also ordered some boba tea thinking it would be just like most I ordered but no it was better. It was almost like dessert because it was blended with milk and ice like ice cream. It was so good and it allowed me to enjoy the flavor longer. My husband and kid got the fried rice. My husband loved it because it had bean sprouts and the meat was grilled and had a nice char on it.Will I be back...yes next time I come through KC!

This restaurant is one of my mom's favorite places to get Vietnamese food. We love their sweet potato fries with shrimp and I enjoy their meatball pho. The food is always very tasty and the ambiance is very authentic. Service is very fast and everyone is so kind. Will absolutely be back!

Service was pleasant, and food came out fast. The vermicelli with pork was good but the pork was a tiny bit dry, and I was surprised and disappointed that I couldn't substitute a spring roll for a fried roll (I'm gluten-free and can't eat the fried roll) - the spring rolls and egg rolls are the same price on the menu. With so many options, I don't know that I would rush back.

Nothing negative here. I had the combination beef pho, which was fresh and good, but not great, to my taste the broth was a little flat, but definitely a well-above-average version of pho. The pork nem were really nice.Decor and staff pretty much a pleasant version of just about every mid-level Vietnamese restaurant -- all the way down to the omni-present boxes stacked in the hallway leading to the restroom. The restaurant was buzzing on a Saturday afternoon, and service was very quick and pleasant.I would not hesitate to stop in again.

We love the City Market and all the delicious ethnic food options. Last time we were down there we popped in here for some Pho, and as always, it was fantastic. We also ordered spring rolls and crab rangoon. The place is always clean and the service is prompt. It is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants.

This was my first time at Nguyen pho&grill and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Our server was nice as were everyone else, as soon as we ordered, our food started coming out, the spring rolls tasted fresh and delicious, the egg rolls were crunchy and very tasty, some of the best spring rolls and eggs rolls I've ever had. I order their pho with brisket and it was amazing, the brisket was tender, the noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was delicious!
