Great burger for a Friday lunch. You get more for your money and service was quick. Brought the order to my car.

We've been looking for a new breakfast place and we've found a good one! The staff and food compliment each other nicely. We'll definitely be coming back. It's located right across the street from Raytown High School.

First visit. Open Tuesday-Sunday until 3pm, plus Saturday evening. The place is bigger than it looks with a small counter, tables, and booths. I was greeted as I walked in. The server was friendly and recommended the tenderloin. She filled my drink three times. The tenderloin was good. Not too thin, not as thick as some others. Good breading and juicy. The fries were coated and crispy. I like locally owned places and recommend it.

The staff is warm and friendly. It feels like a small town diner where everyone knows everyone. Food is nothing fancy, but tasty. The group I was with ordered several dishes and I was more impressed with the specials of the day than the breakfast I ordered (eggs were overcooked). They were only open for a few months when we tried it, so I hope they do well and stay around for a long time!

You have to put this place on your list to visit. You won't be disappointed whether you choose breakfast or lunch they have a tasty menu. One particular item I would suggest is the fried potatoes and onions. They also offer turkey sausage and bacon. I try to sample something different every time but those potatoes are always calling my name. A friendly staff and cozy atmosphere add to the experience.

We were visiting Kansas City and looked to Yelp for a brunch recommendation near our hotel. Newzroom Cafe was closest, so off we went. The interior is wonderfully restored, including beautiful ceiling tiles. Everyone working there was so friendly! The food was awesome!! Hubby had eggs and pancakes and he loved those, but my daily special of country ham and eggs was amazing! No seriously, this was better than any breakfast I had while living in the south!!! Ham was tasty perfection and the eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. The highlight of my visit was the chef coming out of the kitchen to get a drink, but stopping by to make sure we were enjoying our food. What a sweetheart!Every aspect of this restaurant was top notch!

While visiting Kansas City from Palm Springs, CA we ran across this jewel. OMG the staff was so friendly, the place was so clean and comfortable, they brought us out samples of the daily specials while we were waiting on our order AND a sample desert to try afterwards. Our brunch was simply delicious! These folks are doing it all right. Parking was a bit tight however we were able to park out on the side street. We will always make this cafe a place to stop in every time we are visiting KC.

There's something special about a newsroom that turned into a wine and dine establishment. The history is fascinating and fun. I enjoy being in places where the passion of a family is passed down and taken form in another medium. It's brilliant. The food and wine are very good. For an out of the norm find in a small rural town, it is an exciting surprise
