Never on Sunday

YES Frank E member enticed me to come here with his review. I loved Never On Sunday!!! I ordered a traditional Gyro on pita. It was my favorite in KC so far. 8/10. It was served with my choice of side dish, and I selected a Greek salad. The salad was very simple, but utterly delicious and the dressing was perfect. It was also served on the side so I could control the amount.The dolmades or grape leaves were extra extraordinary. I love it when they have that little acid or lemon taste. These did not, but were still exceptional. My wife will love them! I can't wait to come back here and try other things on the menu. Very excited about this place.

Named after a classic 1960 Hollywood film (set in Greece, and starring Melina Mercouri), this very-Greek restaurant tucked into a South KC strip mall has very legit Greek fare, and the staff is very kind, plus the food is I'd say 4.5 stars (not quite perfect or super inexpensive). I especially enjoyed the grape leaves, which sets NOS apart from many other Greek restaurants in my experience.I'd rate service at 5 solid stars. They really seem to care, unlike so many places that forget how important food is to hungry ppl, or forget to include utensils if I requested them.I'm a fairly close neighbor to this place, and like my other favorite fast-meal options on south Prospect or Troost, this one is on my short list near the top, and my only current regular option on south Holmes.

Ordered on Grub hub. Gyro sandwich rice, hummus, spanikopita and dolmades. Good food and price price. I would order again!

It was our first time trying this place, and it was delicious! I ordered two gyros and fries to go with a side of hummus and it was all really tasty. I could drink the tzatziki sauce! We can't wait to go back and try some of the other items on the menu.

Stopped here because it is close to my job and had pretty decent reviews. I ordered a traditional gyro. Nothing spectacular but it wasn't bad either. The location was clean and there was a steady flow of folks coming in.

My kid tells me last second that they want Gyros for their birthday! You all made a delicious spread that was delivered to my house and put a smile on their face. Everything was hot and perfect and delicious! It was also so affordable for what they send! Thank you for helping this Mom make a kids birthday great!

Ok, even if they missed my take-out order I will 100% still wait for them because they. Are. Worth. It! Like, they always get it right. Flavor on point. Texture on point. Execution on point. Consistency on point. I know what I am getting for my fries and I am blown away every time I get the chance to eat here. Falafel? Don't get me started ya'll. I'm shaking my head as I'm in disbelief that I'm not there right now.I always order takeout from there and would suggest doing so, as their dining options are two columns of booths. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Do yourself and flavor and say yes to the fries and falafel plate though. You deserve it.

ordered the sandwich and it was great actually saved it for the next day and the meat was still tender and tastewill return

I've only had gyros through carryout, but this is one of the better gyros in the city.Very reasonably priced, with good and quick service.

I hesitate to share my SECRET place for good, quick food, but it is too good not to share. They deserve a steady business. Since they have revamped the restaurant in recent years, service is always excellent and the food is very fresh. I first went here many years ago and it definitely needed a little uplift. In the last year or so, I have placed many online orders and they are always ready when I pick them up and they also have DELIVERY! which is very convenient. They are less expensive and better than the chain Greek place that I have visited on the other side of the state line. I like that they have some healthy options. My only suggestion is that they update their online menu and add some better pictures and descriptions. They don't really describe the food well and they don't say what is included in a combo or a "dinner", for instance. Love it!
