What a cute spot! Great fudge, as well as ice creams, jellies and other sweets. The owner is very nice also. A great find!!

Some unexpected 80 degree weather in February meant a trip for ice cream! This place is small but quaint, and there is something special about eyeballing the selection of fudges, truffles, and candies. My kids selected their ice cream and got them in side-by-side cones, which I haven't seen in a long while! There is a green space just across the street, and we walked outside to enjoy our cones in the sunshine.I found this experience to be much more fun than a chain or drive-through ice cream place. Plus, it gives me the happy feels knowing I'm supporting our community and and a small business.

I just love this little old fashioned candy and fudge shoppe. The fudge is a little pricey for my taste but it's always a fun experience taking the kids to eye all the goodies and get some ice cream.

Great small town locally owned business. It needs to be supported. Nice selection of ice cream flavors and a huge selection of chocolates. They also offer a maple root beer that I would go back for. The staff is friendly. This store really adds a lot to the downtown friendliness feel.

They serve blue bell ice cream! Glad we checked it out rather than hit the chain fast food places. Nellies also sells beautiful chocolates/truffles and fudge. Our toddler loved his milkshake and I loved my double cone, I'd never had a side-by-side cone like that before!

Oh my goodness, great ice cream, fantastic fudge with wonderful flavor choices. Key lime pie was excellent. Also had lots of fun candy choices

I heard a story on the radio about how this local business is struggling so I decided to check it out. I have tried to go twice now during their posted operating hours and they have been closed both times.

SO yummy!! I got chocolate walnut fudge & peanut butter chocolate fudge. Both were divine! Nothing better than a small business with amazing treats!

I miss the small candy shops of my youth. Glass candy jars filled with glossy chocolate; my palms filled with sweaty coins, anticipating sweet satisfaction. When you're a child, chocolate is the object of your desire. As you get older, desire gets much more complicated. Still there, but now there's so much guilt. If you want to go back to a time when there is no guilt, just pure unadulterated pleasure, might I suggest Nellie's Sweet Shoppe. These people still get goosebumps about candy, just like you do. There's no guilt here. Just a romping good time. Ice cream, homemade fudge (a new spotlighted flavor each month), hard crack candy, and yes, glass jars of glossy chocolate. However you choose to let your inner child act out, the results will be finger licking, lip smacking good!

We decided to stop in one day and we're not impressed. The chocolate peanut butter cup was just okay. I would of given them 4 stars, but the experience was horrible. When we walked in the door there were two employees working and neither said Hi or Welcome. Then when looking too see what candy options they had both employees just stared at us, we had to interact with them before they spoke to us. Once we left they still stood there staring at us. I wanted to like this place, I love mom and pop stores, but first impression matter! If they don't improve customer service they will not be open much longer.
